Cyanogen A2SD

I have just flashed the current Cyanogen RC and A2SD isn't working, I know the card is working properly because the Leedroid I flashed from was OK. The Cyanogen boards tell me that A2SD is always enabled! So what's wrong?

Yes, probably. The data compatibility varies between each ROM so to ensure proper installation a factory reset/phone wipe is recommended from one ROM to another.

Of course make sure you backup the apps/data you need with Titanium or mybackup before you wipe anything.

I've done a NAND and a titanium back up, but I forgot to wipe! Sheeesh!

I think the A2SD+ for cyanogen is a little different than the sense ROMs A2SD+

I don't think A2SD+ is in the latest versions, I had to use the DarkTremor A2SD script to get A2SD.

Not totally sure but I think you will find this is correct.

Its in the latest Defrost version which is based on Cyanogen. As far as I was aware, this was one of the big differences between the roms. Never used cyanogen myself though.

Give defrost a try. Its got all the good points of cyanogen plus some new additions of its own.

Very subjective and on that note, completely disagree.

No sense roms can even come close to AOSP speed wise. If the OP wishes to try AOSP, then fair play.

Leedroid is a good stable distro, buy I rooted my phone to get rid of all the carriercrap, and Leedroid is just as guilty. The ROM is shipped full of apps that, even though deletable, I don't need. It also tends to mother you, setting things up on your behalf and making assumptions about how you want your phone set up. Even set CPU is set up for you, the Leedroid way! If I wanted things like that done for me I might as well have not bothered rooting and stuck with the Orange stock. Cyanogen is quite a skinny ROM with not much more than the bare essentials. No sense.

I will read up on DeFrost Dan thank you and probably have a gawp at it soon, I think its worth checking most out as you find your feet and become more confident with root to find the one thats best for you.

Darktremor signed.zip just worked a treat. Apparently the dev's think its better that A2SD not be included in the ROM release as standard.
