Root Cyanogen Mod 7 With Some HTC Sense Features?

YPA

Newbie
I've had my phone rooted for a while now but the only Rom I've ever used was RevolutionHD. Now I've installed Cyanogen Mod 7 and I love it but I miss some of the Sense features.

I miss the zoom feature where the text on a web page realigns itself on the screen.
I miss the recent apps in the status bar.

Is there a way to get these onto Cyanogen Mod 7?

Holding down home (on any android device, AFAIK) will show you your recently used apps.

You mean where text 'reflows' so that each line is only as wide as your screen, right? There's an option to enable it in the stock browser, although it should be on by default.

I know on the Miren browser, which is the one I use, once it's enabled, double tapping the screen will reflow the text for you.

Thanks.

EDIT:
One more thing, in the status bar how can I have a tab on the bottom to get to a quick menu like in Gingerbread?

im on AndroidRevolution and flashed to cyanogen7 but ended up flashing back. the android market kept FCn on me and Titanium backup didnt transfer over. i wanted to restore my contacts. anyway to fix this issue?

Thanks.

If you go to Settings >> Interface >> Notification Power Wdiget you can set it up to have quick toggle buttons right at the top of the notification bar. I think that's the closest you can get, really.

There are other ways of doing things, however. For instance, I use a (paid) app called Extended Controls and that displays a set of toggle widgets if I hold down search. There are quite a few apps that add new functionality to holding down home/search that could be used to solve your problem.

The market issue sounds like something that could be solved by redownloading and reflashing everything from scratch. Maybe you did something in the wrong order, maybe your download was corrupt, etc.

As for titanium backup, what didn't transfer over specifically? If you meant the app it's self, you have to redownload it from the market once switching ROMs (which obviously you can't do if the market is force closing). Once you've installed it, it reads all of your backups from the sdcard and you should be good to go.

Thanks.

Don't worry, I'll just add it to your tab.

[Hide]Seriously though, ask away if you have questions [/spoiler]

i installed the rom using clockwork. wrong way to do it?

That's how I installed CM7

i downloaded the CM7 rom thru CWM and then installed it right after without booting into Recovery. I didn't Wipe the device either. Anyways, I instaleld the rom the correct way and all is fine now.

is there a recommended radio to use with CM7? i'm currently running 12.62.60.27U_26.13.04.19_M

YPA, if you want the text to realign, head to Settings -> CM Settings -> Interface -> Reflow after Pinch in. That sorted it out for me. :)

Just having my morning browse and have come to the conclusion that my pinch to zoom doesnt work any more, anything else other than the above settings i could try.
Cheers

Ah, the problem was that you didn't wipe the device. It's a pain, but it's unavoidable when you're switching between two different roms. You can get away without one with incremental updates to the same rom, usually, but that's it.

Your radio is independent of your firmware. So your radio only changes when you flash a new one - installing/restoring firmware has no effect.
