Root Cyanogen RC3

I moved to RC3 when it hit (28/03) and haven't had a single Random reboot...haven't had it on any of the CM7 builds so far.

Tried it today. 5 reboots. Full wipe, wiped dalvic cache, but nothing helped. I restored GV1.7 and all is good again.

I cleaned up and reflashed, suspecting a Titanium batch file problem, now I'm stable but I cant receive texts!

I am more than happy. :D

I have a question for those on cyanogen roms. Did you have to flash the A2sd zip file or is it on the rom by default??

It's not there by default. I think the preferred option is the CM7 hboot, the zip is there for those that don't want to s-off I think :-)

Thats what I thought! Im helping a friend install nightly rom but didnt see the option to activate the A2SD so looks like I will have to install the zip. I could S-OFF their phone but I just think its totally unnecessary at this point

That depends on the configuration of your memory table. Have you moved the Dalvik to SD? That should get you your 50Mb or so back.

run a terminal emulator. Type:

su
a2sd cachesd

With darktremor the phone will then reboot and when it comes back dalvik is on ext. Will remain there unless you clear dalvik or wipe the phone, in which case you'll have to repeat the procedure.

LOL silly me! Ive done that countless of times before on MIUI as they use DarkTremor. But I wondered If I could get some space back on the legacy A2SD? They mentioned its a cutted firerat script so Im guessing... no. Thanks buddy

It won't give more internal space. Dark tremor doesn't move dalvik by default. Firerat does. Running a2sd cachesd in dark tremor moves dalvik so after that is done, everything is equal

Yeah I understand that Dan. Firerat was a flashable zip so it enabled the A2SD by default. Quick glance on Quick system info revealed the A2SD storage is the same on both (firerat/darktremor) but internal storage is smaller on firerat. I cant quite work out why??
