Nice. I wonder if it'll help out my mysterious powering-off problems. It's 9 AM and twice today I've looked down at my phone to check something and it's been turned off. It's running CM7 (I believe RC1??) so I began to wonder if there was a final release. But dang, CM9? Did I miss the boat on CM8 too????

I plan on flashing as soon as the first Alpha is available, unless the OTA for the Nexus S get's released before Cyanogenmod. If so I will switch back to stock, and get my ICS on.

CM8 should have been based on Honeycomb, but Google didn't release the source for that so Cyanogen skipped it. That's what I assume anyway.

Agreed. From what I understand, the reason Google didn't release Honeycomb is because they didn't want manufacturers putting it on phones, it's meant for tablets only. Google didn't want pre-honeycomb versions of android put on tablets but manufacturers did it anyway. Google figured manufacturers wouldn't listen so they enforced the "tablets-only" Honeycomb by not releasing the source. That was my take on it anyway.
