Root Cyanogenmod-Tweaked Kernel

Whoa! Bluetooth not happy. In fact grayed out!

http://db.tt/SxKPS8d8

V39, I matched everything in /net/bluetooth and /drivers/bluetooth to match tdm's code at thebigq. None of my changes were doing anything, up until they broke bt. So I took them out.

Unfortunately, I've never gotten bt to work reliably with my laptop anyway... so testing is difficult at best.

Understood... Downloading now... We will test shortly

Got it to work, again, it has to be turned off then on.

Nice. Glad that fixed it then.

I've got another build coming. Mostly fixes for things that were annoying me. Changed mpdecision for a dual core version instead of a quad core. The extra configuration parts were annoying me. Removed fast charge because it wasn't actually doing anything... the charge parts were left out. Turned the gpu clocks up some. I'd like to get those working by sysfs or something though before I push it out. Might up it tomorrow either way.

Cool I will run it when you get it

New version up. Nothing major. Notes are in the OP.

Pretty much just bumped the GPU clocks up a little. Though Kernel Tuner won't change them. Trickstermod will set the 3d clock, but I don't know that I trust it. Available step freqs are listed, use one of them if you want to set your max (or if you want to underclock, I suppose that should work too). Might be easiest to set via an init.d script.

can this kernel fix reboot problem when press power button under camera ?

Doubtful. I'm not a dev. I'm just building people's code. I mean I fix minor things to port the code but nothing major. Mostly I've just been trying to get basic features for a custom kernel that we lack built into the kernel. So far I think I've done pretty good... but alot of it is above my head tbh.

The camera would need some live on the drivers from LG..... our a miracle.

LG will be releasing 3.4 JB kernel source for the one i_proj device that got JB (SU640 I think it is called, Korean version of our phone) hopefully we can pull from it and have major issues fixed

Yeah. That would be nice... but the 640 doesn't have the same hardware I don't believe. Same family... Same board. Different peripherals. Not sure the drivers will carry over.

At least if we can get 3.4 we can get active updates off caf.

The su640 and lu6200 are very similar to the vs920 and p930. The kernel we have now started life as a lu6200 source drop.

If the new 3.4 kernel works better on the su640 then odds are it will also work better on the others.

The major bugs, including the camera crash, are common to all the devices.

Thanks. I wasn't aware they were that similar.

At least there's hope then

Not sure. I'm pretty sure that I restored everything bluetooth related back to the original... so it shouldn't be anything with this causing that (as far i know)

It's probably just dumb junk with BT. Do you suppose, that it is something with the nightlies? Maybe it's not playing nice with the kernel?

I'd only blame the nightlies if it was doing the same thing with the kernel that came in the nightly. Once you start replacing things in the nightly... you kinda put the blame on the thing you replaced. ya know?

I'd look at it more. But like I've said before I'm not really a dev. So there's not much I'd be able to do most likely. Right now though, I'm trying to port a 3.4 kernel over, if I can get it to build/boot right.

Though, we should get a somewhat official 3.4 kernel in the next few days (hopefully) if they release the su640 one, it sounds like it might port pretty cleanly.

It's all good dude.

Dunno. I'll try working with this as well today.

Should be easier than the source I was trying to use.

They released it a day earlier than promised. How kind of them :)

Let the porting begin? Also TDM, if we get the 3.4 kernel to work on our VS920, would it be committed into CM's tree?

Don't know. That's up to rmcc.

Anyone know the difference between the batman, cayman and ijb defconfigs (do they actually match different hardware?)
