Help Cyanogenmod weak signal strength

Is there any way to solve the weak signal strength problem that cm7 has? I wanna flash to it because of the speed but the weak signal gives me duplicate messages all the time.

I don't think the signal strength is actually weaker, just the indicator bars show less. I could still get 3G with no bars showing on CM7. Not sure about the duplicate messages, though, I thought everybody got those lol.

I mean as i said in my other post im running playfulmod and i never get duplicate messages. But back when i tried cm6 i would get the same message over and over and over again. And i read somewhere that if you dont have a good signal it causes that to happen

There's an app for that. I can't remember exactly what it was called though... SMS Bomb or something like that. I've heard that will solve your duplicate message issues.
