D-inc1 vs 2 describe the difference

I believe the screen is the first thing you will be impressed by then the refined case. There are some tweaks to the sense UI as well. Better power management is also noticeable.

Battery life is about double. The screen is larger and slcd so blacks aren't quite as black, but it's not an issue. Front facing camera. The build quality is significantly better. The processor is a lot better and there is higher ram so everything flows a lot better. It runs sense 2.1 which is a lot better than sense on the Dinc. You won't be disappointed at all. I made the same switch and am loving it.

Does the DI2 have more room for application data? I hate getting the 'application data space is low' message on my DI.

I believe it does have about 256 mb more but I'm not 100% sure. I do know some apps can be moved to the micro sdcard.

He's speaking of the datadata folder that was partitioned to 150 mb in the OG Inc, not the data folder which is indeed 232mb larger on the 2.

I would bet that they have enlarged the datadata folder since there have been no reports by any TB or DHD users, but we won't know until its been rooted and someone runs df in a terminal emulator or ADB.

Just wanted to bump this to see how the Inc2 is working out as far as application data space goes. Thanks for your input.

Battery life is MUCH better. I'd agree with poster above - double wouldn't be too far off.

Display is a bit easier to read in the sun (I have the amoled Incredible 1, not the more recent one). However the Inc 1 (amoled version) looks better indoors. That is not to marginalize the display on the Inc 2 - it is definitely very nice, bright, and sharp - it actually appears sharper to me than the Inc 1.

Due to the faster processor, it does seem to be just a bit smoother. Speedtest.net results turn out faster on wifi as well for me.

A couple of things though - Netflix doesn't work yet on the Inc 2, but it's working fine on the Inc 1. And the WatchESPN app doesn't work properly on the Inc 2.
