Help Daily Charging...OptV

Do you guys thing daily charging the V will kill the battery in short order? I am able to get a solid day out of a charge without using JuiceDefender but at night it is down to 56% or less. So I recharge over night to be ready for the next day! With JD on, I could squeeze 2 days out of the phone but it caused a lot of issues with some of my apps that don't use the Android 'check when data is available' function. I kind of like not using JD! LOL I just don't want to smoke my battery prematurely.

Daily charging of the battery will not harm it all. It has a lithium ion battery that will degrade if you let it discharge completely. If I remember correctly, you should charge the battery when gets between 30-40% at the lowest and once every 30 charging cycles you should let it discharge completely. You can search lithium ion batteries and find all the info. Hope this helps.

Frequent charging doesn't negatively effect the battery nor is there any memory issue like there was with niCad's. From what I understand(!), it's the total charge cycle that count, not partial. In other words 100 full charge cycles is the same as 200 half or 400 quarters, etc. Thought letting the battery run down for "conditioning" was long ago debunked (and proved harmful), there have been suggestions that the battery meters in the phone need to be re trained from time to time to get the most out of the battery. Thee are many suggested methods, the most popular was to allow the battery to run down to teach the phone where the "bottom" is. There a more than a few "proclaimed experts" that disagree with this method. Since it is a established fact that running a LIon's all the way down can ruin them even though it's rare, I've moved to the no conditioning camp, and don't do it. Keep in mind that I'm no expert.
