Off the top of my head, if your using TB, while in the homescreen of the apk, goto settings, and clean up dalvik cache. Whatever it considers worthy of attention, I would clean up. Other then that, leave it as it is, unless you partition your card. Which I would also recommend not doing.

I would also recommend integrating your cache to your ROM
