Help "Damaged SD Card" ?

This is showing up in my notification bar now. The tablet seems to operate fine, except I can't mount it to my laptop via USB, unless I boot to webOS, and then it works fine.

When I tap the message, it asks me if I want to reformat it.

I know there's not really an SD Card, so what exactly is going on here? Should I reformat the "SD Card"?

NO. That won't help.

Older thread but worth a shot:

So my my little brother got the SD card error and took the route you advised against (formatting)...much to my dismay. I can't boot to webOS anymore and webOS Doctor tells me it can't repair my touchpad. I CAN boot to clockwork and cyanogen however, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to use that to get webOS back. Any advice?

edit: nevermind! I actually found and used the latest apparently leaked webos doctor and that worked!

Leaked? Unless it's a newer version (3.0.5), I was under the impression it was a regular release, just hard to find when you need it.

Glad you got it figured out.

I'm having this issue too but when I opened Webos windows wanted me to format it so I fixed it with Webos (so now I don't have CM7 anymore) and It still wants me to format it.

in addition.... It looks as if my LCD is busted too now... YAY!!!

update I contacted HP support and sent my touchpad in for work and I should be getting it tomorrow! HP Palm Support is awesome!!!!

I'm under the impression that the problem is with the SD card. I realize the HP touchpad doesn't have a slot for an SD card, but I think that's the default location for app and file storage? A little confused about the whole thing but moving on...

So my primary problem is my inability to download files. I had no problems with downloading pdfs for the first week that I had android os installed, but now every time I try, I get an error message "Out of Space: Free up some space on your phone and try again." I have 1.4GB free space in internal storage (using 87MB), and 9.5GB free space in SD card storage (1.3 GB used). I've cleared all the cache and browser history, the problem persists no matter which browser I'm using.

I also tried downloading file attachments from my email, both jpegs and pdfs, but it never works and I just get "Sorry, the attachment could not be downloaded." Previewing still works though.

Another problem I've noticed is that, when trying to open some of my apps, I get the message "Oops! We do not have the necessary access to the folder we normally use!" This is something else that had initially worked but now no longer does. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but nothing changed.

Please help. I've been using this instead of a laptop since I have a spine disorder and would greatly appreciate not having to revert back to lugging around a backpack half my size all over campus.
