Root Damaged SD card??

ok so i just bought the esteem today and just finished rooting it and installing CWM. I havent flashed a custom rom yet though. Well i took my 16GB sd card out of my old optimus and put it in my esteem and it says "SD card damaged may need to be reformatted" so i backed it up and then reformatted it...but it still says its damaged. I dont know the deal is because it still works fine in my optimus. any ideas??

EDIT: im thinking it may be the partition i have on it because i tried mounting an old 1GB card i have and it works fine.

what should i do?

If your card is partitioned thats why. Unpartition it. I had the same problem when I swapped my sd from my ascend

And there is your problem. Remove the partitions, stick it into the Esteem and format.
