OK, I stand corrected. I just remember when it first came out, gizmodo saying GPS was fine. But then again, my GPS was fine for a day as well when I first got my Cappy.

based on the timing, they must have had this fix in testing before the release date. There is nothing listed that corresponds with our phone that i saw.

i may be wrong but i dont think it was ever promised. i think samsung said they would be ready for the froyo update in september but it still has to go through att but i may be wrong

Froyo in Sept announcements were from Euro Samsung, which means i9000, iirc. We're going to be lucky if we get it before the end of the year, I think.

I think the information has been too ambiguous to assume that ALL Galaxy S phones are getting Froyo in September. I get the feeling that it's the i9000 only.

By the way, JH7 firmware has a setting for Update via KIES, which wasn't there before, which makes me believe it won't be OTA update, but who knows.

That would be awesome. If iPhone isn't restricted to OTA updates, then other phones shouldn't as well (at least through at&t).

Actually, I would prefer the OTA or better yet, the option for either one. I am using Macs and Linux, and can't get KIES to work at all in a virtual machine or emulator (WINE), and so OTA or unix-friendly software are my only options...

Looking forward to that media hub. Didn't see anything about gps fix.
