darch 2.7 HELP!!

I had that problem when I first loaded this ROM, but now I'm getting very good battery life. The "drainage" I was experiencing was due to having bluetooth on, and having Wifi on but not having a network point established.
 
That sucks I've had great battery life with this. Truth charging, while off, till the light turns green, wait another hour or so to be sure, then boot straight to recovery and wipe battery stats. Maybe that will help ya out.
 
yea battery life is great now..not sure wha did it..anyway to get the adw settings to appear? i've checked settings from the home screen and adw doesn't show..i need to change my screen size :(

kinda annoying just having an extra blank screen ya kno
 
Menu > preferences I believe, it should be in the regular settings menu I thought, I ditched it for launcherpro though so I'm not positive.
 
i haven't lost my root by installing this rom have i?

seems none of the apps that required root status work anymore..do u think a reboot will fix it? everything is FAIL so far in regards to root apps..

*seems that i'm having all the problems with this rom*

(cachemate, adfree, minfreemanager, autokiller aren't working at all)

when i click menu on home screen, it only provides add, wallpaper, search, notification, and settings..wtf man
 
wow..i think i know what i did..when i was trying to restore a nandroid..i couldn't because i followed the link blampars gave me and it basically said if you don't have enough space on the card then you won't be able to restore..

well i started deleting things on my card..i think i deleted something i wasn't supposed to..do u think if i would restore a nandroid from previous roms that it'll put it back on my sd card??

this is bad...
 
it is i'm sure cuz i saw it when i first flashed this rom..but maybe the deletion of the file prevents the rom from showing it??

anyone have the root file that i need who could pm me?

or have a list of root files i should have on my sd card?

i think i'm gonna make a new thread..this is very bad!!

that's the thing..i'm not sure lol..

i was deleting music to free up some space..and i deleted a lot of folders that had things like "tmp" on it..etc..but nothing would be contained in the folder..

i think i deleted the root file cuz none of the root apps are working
 
Well what file manager are you using, I don't think astro can even get into root, estrongs does. I wouldn't think you could delete something that would cause you to lose root though.
 
i was deleting things from my card with an adapter on my computer..it had to been a file or something because i was deleting things to clear space and sometimes i would delete things i wasn't sure i was deleting.. sigh

i have a copy of my original card info..bout to do some process of elimination
 
Well after I had flashed froyo and wanted to go back to catch I did a android restore, I was quite shocked to learn that after doing so, I also had lost root. I dunno why, but I just restored my original nandroid on the stock rom and was back in business.

wait..this has happened to you? all you did was just restore one of your nandroids and your root access was back? on the stock rom? what do you mean?
 
Yeah, I had made a nandroid backup of darchdroid so I wouldn't have to reflash and built it back from scratch if I wanted to go back. After trying the froyo rom, I wanted to go back to darch so I restored my darch nandroid. Same as you, none of my root apps worked so I popped my stock nandroid and all was well. I don't know what the hell caused it, thought I did something wrong, guess I'm not the only one who had this issue.

i see. when you restored your "stock nandroid", you're referring to darch's 2.7 rom right?
 
No, when restoring darchdroid is when I lost root, "stock nandroid" being the stock sprint 2.1 release right after rooting. After restoring that I just reflashed darchdroid from scratch and everything was good.
 
You can root the originally released version, they released a "software update" that patched root like two days after 2.1 was rooted. If you downloaded that, then you can't root, I never downloaded it though.
 
just reflashed the rom..installed all apps and the adwsettings dissappeared again..any ideas? btw: root file is there as i'm able to use the rooted apps

edit: nevermind..found out why it disappeared..whenever you download quickdesk from the market..u end up replacing your home settings..so i'm guessing this takes the adwsettings away since it's not your default home screen..

as a matter of fact..try checking your settings joe..since you're on launcherpro..i wouldn't see why adwsettings would appear..but then again they may. try it.
 
does anyone's email mess up? my gmail works great but my hotmail account under the "email" app keeps failing when syncing and the error message of email pops up and i have to fc..any ideas?

does this not work on darch's 2.7 rom?
