Root Dark Gmail app?

So I have been doing some searching for an app or a way to change the GTK in Gmail to be dark rather than white. Not really thrilled about the new Gmail app anyway. What I have found so far has been inverted colored GAPPS to flash. Has anybody tried to flash one of these modified GAPPS packages to the Reverb? Any pointers or links for the appropriate dark GAPPS for the Reverb?

any inverted gapps will work but dont flash the whole thing... pull only the gmail app from the package and sideload it...

So if I wanted say inverted Gmail and inverted Google Now, would the process be to back up the original system apks, then install the modified apks from GAPPS package? If I do this will it install to "system" or would it actually take away from my available storage?

it will take up around the same amount of space as the old ones did... so just replace the old ones and no memory lost or gained...
just make sure not to flash the entire package as it will replace some samsung related apps and result in force closes...
pull out the two apps you need and sideload them...

Thanks for that. I ended up changing several other google apps also. I found that with some I could remove the stock apks and install the modified ones as usual, but with a couple I did have to flash. Not sure that I understand the concept of "sideload". I see it on my CWM, but I never noticed a sideload option on previous CWM on other devices. I have seen a couple of google app crashes since. How do I use the sideload feature?

Moved this into the root section.

By side load, I think he means by pulling each individual apk from the gapps zip and just installing like a normal apk.
