Root dark spots on screen. Anyone?

So I've noticed that when I'm scrolling a light colored page, like a website for example, that has a white background, I notice a darker spot in the upper part of the screen. I noticed this when I first got the phone, and I also noticed a dark spot similar to this on the LG Realm. I purchased the Realm from Best Buy in store, and I purchased my Volt via radioshack.com so they both come from different retail outlets, but they are both LG. Does anyone else have this? If I'm not scrolling I can't notice it.

Was wondering if I were to exchange the phone would I get one with the same problem? It's very slight but it IS there. Maybe just an LG budget phone issue? This is actually my ONLY problem with this phone.. bugs me.

It's called a dead pixel. Live with it or return it. Your choice. My first one had a ton. I returned it. Now I only have one. Doesn't bother me.

I dont know if its me or if its the screen, but mine seems to do this too, i only notice it when scrolling. I think its just because this isnt exactly a 600 dollar phone, and a cheaper panel was probably used for that reason. No biggie, just ignore it lol.

I have one right smack dab in the middle of my screen that I only notice when seeing the boot animation.

My screen doesn't have any dark spots or anything but its had a little purple dot on the top left of the screen since the day I bought it. It goes away if the screen is on for about 30 seconds but it comes back every once in a while

You guys should not be having that problem at all. You should have taken it back right away. Regardless if you bought the phone cheap or not. This phone still sells for $179 at certain places. I paid $30 and I still value it at that original price.

Have you tried a different app?
I thought a dread pixel is a pixel that didn't light or change color. His issue is the top of the screen turns dark when scrolling.
BTW my first one had a dead pixel and it annoyed the hell out of me. My home button also stopped working, but I bought a new one on black Friday, now it's perfect!
Edit: on second thought what he's explaining does sound like dead pixels

I had a crop of dead pixels come up, so I sent it in to LG and got it fixed for free - but the process takes 2 weeks from the day you send it in, so make sure you have a temporary phone.

I bought mine months ago when it was still relatively new on virgin mobile and I didn't notice anything until maybe a month ago, long past my return policy lol. It could be that heat is affecting the screens or something, but I can say I have never ever felt the volt get hot on me. Dunno, I'm not real worried about it, I certainly feel I got my $140 worth.

Semi related: I bought the volt to replace my dying gnex, and it still amazes me just how fluid it runs day to day. It feels amazing to hold without a case too. Never had an lg before this one, but I might just get another after this phone dies on me.

No I said DARK spots, NOT black spots. I know what a dead pixel is. This isn't it. Any how now I got bigger problems. The touch screen is having issues. Doesn't recognize swipes most of the time, thinks I'm just tapping on it. I read another post on here about it and some guy posted a youtube video regarding this issue and LG Phones. Says it's VERY RARE but does affect some LG phones (the touchscreen issue). Gonna see if I can exchange it at Radio Shack.
