Help Darn it

ok, so i have searched for an hour and cant find my answer so I have to post. Sorry to the vets but I tried and only have so many minutes to use when at work for net use.

When I push my camera button on bottom right and hold, texting option comes up. I want the camera option to come up. How i changed it I have no idea but I need fast access to camera mode to take a quick shot.
Using stock camera!

Please help

are you rooted? if so, what rom. What messaging app are you using?

not rooted, Im not that techy, use the phone the way I got it with added apps.

ok, I'm not real familur with all the available options in handsent, but ya might check the settings and options in there first. if you don't see anything in there, uninstall it and try your camera button. you won't loose any text messages if you uninstall, and if the camera button still acts up simply reinstall handsent. hope that helps.

The OP could also try clearing the defaults for the camera app from the manage apps list in Settings

got it, it was in handsent, somehow I set my button to go to texts.

Just found it.
Handcent > Settings > Send Message Settings > Quick Compose > Disabled

Quick Compose
Enabled (use camera button for G1, for other devices, long press Search button)
Disabled
