After being with Metro PCs for lots and lots of years and while having my LG Spirit I was actually disappointed at how there isn't really good dev support for this phone. Oh well, lets hope I can be a good boy and not try to mess with root

I was actually disappointed at how there isn't really good dev support for this phone.

What do you class as "good"? There are numerous third-party firmwares available, several custom kernels, lots of mods, and Sony released their AOKP code so there are 'vanilla' Android 4.3 builds under development.
