Root DAS BAMF broken shortcuts?

I just installed Das Bamf 1.2.1, and have a weird issue. Whenever I press the customize button on the sense launcher, that button all the way to the right on the launcher, it does nothing. It presses but never launches anything. The other thing that is broken is in home switcher, when I press the clear default button, it doesn't take me anywhere. This shortcut, along with the sense shortcut, worked fine in The Perfect Storm, but now they don't seem to do anything. Does anyone know why? Is there a script that I need to run or something? It did this the last time just the same in this rom, and that's why I uninstalled it. Thanks guys.

you need to download "launchkey" app, its on XDA. The ROM should have included it but it wasnt for me. you can then assign whatever you want for the rightmost launcher button

Now I have it installed but every time I hit home after launching the browser from it and hit home from within the browser, it restarta sense and I get the HTC screen and all my stuff reload. Any idea?

Yeah. I got rid of it. I don't want to have to download extra apps to fix functionality in the Rom. No offense to people that like the Rom but it wasn't for me. I downloaded boLTEd 0.2 and I'm liking it so far. The best part is Drod seems to have fixed the laggy keyboard issue.

It isn't fixing functionality, it is adding functionality. The personalize settings are already available two places (pressing the menu button, or long pressing the screen). Having the right button launch personalize was redundent, this allows you to map any key you want to it (the messaging app for instance).

There is really no functionality lost and the app isn't that big at all.

The problem with that is, unless I asked, I wouldn't have known to download that app. Which means I would have had a part of the sense launcher that had broken functionality. All it did was press and nothing happened. I shouldn't have to download that app to restore what sense did by default. Android is filled with redundancy. There are 3 ways to do just about everything. I think it would have been better to link that app in the post (if he did and I missed it, sorry) and leave the button functioning how it did on the stock ROM, then delete it completely and let people download that app to make it work.

He did, it is in the first post of the thread. Along with an explenation that the button will not function until you run the app and set up the button to what you want.

He was trying to add a function that many people want, those that don't want to remap that button to a different app are in the minority. It is one of the things I like about the ROM. I can launch my browser from the button and not have to put a short cut to it on my screen. Do you seriously use the personalize function that much that you have to have it on a dedicated button on the launcher?

The app is also included in 1.3 which was released yesterday, not sure when you got it but 1.2.1 is the old version.

Thanks ska for the insight. And htcthunderbolt thanks for the completely useless post. It really did nothing other than make your post count higher. I set the shortcut to the browser and whenever I go back home from the browser, it resets sense. I get the HTC screen followed by my widgets reloading. Any ideas?

Hmmmm that is strange, sounds like Sense is falling out of RAM while you are using the Browser. Not sure how to fix that, sorry.

I would make a post over in the XDA thread for the ROM, the dev is extreamly responsive and very helpful. If he can't help then I'm sure someone in the thread will.

Awesome thanks. It is weird because it only happens when I launch the apps from the launchkey. If I open them from the menu all is good.
