Data changes since using Villain ROM

I've noticed that since flashing Villain my phone seems to run automatically in Hspda mode and only 3G on occasions. Not that I'm complaining with HSPDA being a much faster connection. However the Data button on the notification drop down has vanished. Is this purely an automatic switch once Wifi is disabled now?

I've read somewhere that the phone shows 3g when no data is being downloaded and as soon as you start downloading/surfing it switches to H.
Not sure what you mean about the data button, I dont ever recall having one? (There is a data toggle when you hold the power button). Yes when wifi disconnects data switches to mobile network.
 
When you drag the window down from the top of the screen it displays all your notifications plus there is a row of green buttons at the top.

WIFI ,Bluetooth,GPS,SOUND,Auto rotation.


There used to be a data button too but this has since vanished.

Dead handy shortcut. I guess there is similar features you could add as widgits to the home screen. This feature happens to be my favorite part of the phone so far. So much easier than the IOS double click and hope you don't misclick feature on an iphone.
 
hold down the power button, there is an option in there for data!
Ive not rooted mine yet and dont have that option on o2

Exactly that. I realise now its of no real importance as switching off wifi does the same thing anyway. I wonder why I even bothered mentioning it lol. I guess the important thing is my phone is even swifter now :-)
