Help Data Connection dropping

I have an Optimus Slider but am also having the data access drop if the phone sit idle for 5 - 10 minutes??????

Are you sure that it is the data network which is dropping out rather than your wifi connection?

For the latter problem, do the following:

Settings

Wireless and networks

Wifi settings

(Press menu button)
Advanced ...

Wifi sleep policy


Set it to never sleep
