Help Data connection issues

I'm still having data connection issues with 4g. 3g is fine but when I lose 4g, the only way to get it back is to turn phone off/on. I recently did a factory reset and it got a little better, but still having issues. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

if u are on the current OTA, try going to Settings>Battery & Data Manager>Data Delivery and disable "Data Enabled". wait a couple moments and enable it. that's a trick that worked for me when NOTHING else would (battery pulls, SIM card pulls...).

How do you know it is the phone?
I do not have 4G in my area but I do have two different data rate networks. There are times that the networks hands my "data call" between them even though I am stationary.

I would be talking to my supplier and even give Motorola service a call too.

besides the tips i and others gave, let me tell you that my first bionic (launch day) had terrible issues with connectivity. after 3 months I got an exchange and it is nearly flawless. wish i had complained earlier!! i had to rely on wifi with the the first phone and used almost no data from verizon. now i never use wifi.

I suspect it is the phone because if I reboot it it works. I don't know for sure though. My workaround for time being is either reboot, or go to 3g and hours later I can go back to 4g and it will work.

Thx. My connectivity isn't terrible. I live in 3g and work in 4g. When I go to 4g the transition is where it is losing connectivity. I have workarounds, but wish I didn't need to use them. When I get 4g st home hopefully I will not have these issues. Thx for insight

By rebooting you are just registering on the network again. The phone isn't doing anything different what is different is that the network is setting up you as a current user. To me that means the issue is with the network.

I still rarely have data service at all in the middle of los angeles. Replacement phone already. Pos 4g.

I have been having quite a few issues here over the last couple of weeks myself. I am running 5.9.902. It will show 4G, but no internet connectivity. I change to CDMA only and connect fine at 3G.

When I lose data connectivity, I toggle airplane mode on/off, and it restores my connection. I use an Elixr widget to do a quick toggle, but there are many others out there.

BTW, my connectivity has been rock solid for months, up until the last week or so, when I've noticed more drops.

Remember how service providers use to advertize "fewest dropped calls"?

The marketing adage is/was you advertise your weakness, saying the opposite makes it so.
