Since the update the phone has had trouble maintaining a data connection, even in places that were previously strong on 3G. I don't have any 4G in my area so I don't expect that. Seems like the radio just turns itself off and won't come back on. 1G works if I remove the cover. Interestingly, the only way I can get 3G to start is to check for updates. Then the 3G icon comes on, the device reports no new update, and then a minute or two later, the 3G icon turns off and there is no data.
I've tried
1. removing the battery
2. set the mode to CDMA only.
3. turn airplane mode on/off
BTW, I'm in Northern Calif.
Nothing seems to help.
