data connection problems!!

hi
iv got a htc hero/g2 thats on t-mobile, i unlocked it and have put a orange sim card in to the phone.
the phone wont connect to the internet so i cant change the gmail acount and i cant download any aps

how do i set up the internet/ data connection??

Go to wireless networks and look down menu options at connect to mobile network click it and that should be that .
