Data connection turning itself off

Every once in a while I notice that there is no indication for 3G or 1x, not that I don't have reception, it just isn't turned on for some reason. It will fix itself if I reboot my phone, or turn it to airplane mode and then back to normal. Does anyone else experience this? Honestly it isn't annoying enough to replace my phone, just weird.
 
Doesn't seem to be the same problem to me, maybe I am wrong, but my problem is not that it is going to 1x, but that the data connection is turned off completely. I have 4 bars of service, but absoultely no data.
 
I've started getting this exact same issue, Huawei X5 with 2.2. Mobile Data is "switched" on in the settings, but sometimes the phone just wont get any mobile data at all, until either the mobile data switch is toggled off then on again after a few seconds, flight mode is toggled on and off after a few seconds, or the phone is rebooted. Anyone managed to find a solution to this?
