Help Data cutting out

I'm using my LTE Nexus and I find that my 4G signal is extremely unstable. I lose data every once in a while. Is this a well known problem and does 4.0.4? I'm in my 14 day exchange period so I need to make a decision as to if I want to keep this phone.

the newer radios in the 4.0.4 update are much better. Just stick it out. you probably are in a similar situation that i am in (signal wise) i rarely lost 4g signal with my thunderbolt at work, when i fist got my nexus i was like 50/50 between 4g and 3g with data drops. once i flashed the newer radios i am more like 90/10 4g/3g and the data switches are not noticable. i haven't found myself without data since switching to the 4.0.4 radios. and they are just going to get better and better. it was the same way with my thunderbolt. terrible signal, and terrible handoffs between 4g and 3g. eventually after maybe 5 radio updates they got it right.

Very common problem for many users. 4.0.4 radios has been suggested to offer improvement. Also, some have suggested new SIM cards to resolve radio-account connectivity issues.
