I recently purchased the Triumph, I used to have an Optimus V and Wildfire s. In both phones I can get a data speed of 500 kbps down. On the triumph the max i can get is 100 kbps down. My Triumph is running g60's CM7. I did a Phone swap back to the Optimus V a couple days ago and did about 30 speed test and got an avg speed of 653 kbps. I than swapped to the Triumph a few days later and did the same test and my avg test result was 150 kbps, the highest being 212. My mother owns a Optimus V and she and I ran speed test side by side and her test was always double mine.

A little help here?
I'm fine with around 500 kbps which is what i used to get but getting test of 30 kbps and 100 kbps is a little alarming.

I'm running CM7 if it matters.

What speedtest are you using? Some are very unaccurate.

My memory is starting to get a little foggy with the MT since I haven't had it for a while, but I remember that older versions of g60's CM7 (and CM7 in general) had data speed issues until a fix was released by g60. I would make sure that you are using the most current version of CM7. Also, as others have noted, VM's data speeds are also all over the map. Even with a good connection to the same tower, I would range from 100k to 1meg depending on the day/time. I really do think that Sprint gives priority to its own customers before assigning bandwidth to VM users...

The Optimus V is also a dual band phone, 850 and 1900 mhz, the Triumph is only 1900 mhz single band, this could have a significant impact on your connection speed.
