Data managament help...

hi

i am on an htc desire running android and it works great. the only thing thats a challenge for me is that i dont have a unlimited data bundle so the data gets chowed quickly. i downloaded 3g watchdog and net sentry and they are doing the job. my question is rather related to other ways of managing data. im not sure how heavily the widgets eat data but if they do is there a way that i can manage that cause i think that is what kills most of my data.

any thoughts will be great

The best way I've found of managing data is to hold down the power button and select "Mobile Internet" to turn the connection off. Then you can go into Settings, Accounts and Sync and turn on Background Data and Auto-sync. When you're near a usable WiFi AP, turn on WiFi. Otherwise, when you're out and about, just turn on Mobile Internet long enough for everything to sync, then turn it off again.
