Help Data Manager permission denied ?

Hi I am wondering if anyone else is having this problem or can provide a solution.

I am using HTC One M8, AT&T, 4.4.2, not rooted, Nova Launcher.

I can't access the data manager app that comes with the phone when I am on Nova, but if I switch back to HTC BlinkFeed it works again. It doesn't start and just gives me a "Permission denied".

You can still access it thru Settings, More...

Also you can set up a shortcut to the Blinkfeed from the nova launcher screens, and then place the data manager icon on the blinkfeed screen. It adds one click but it is a second way to get there if dont like opening the settings menu.
