Data Plan Required mytouch slide?

I currently have a Samsung Behold 2 and am not required to have a data plan.

I am considering buying the Mytouch Slide but could not find an definite answer as to weather or not I need a data plan.


I have a texting plan and live on campus so I get wifi everywhere. Am I going to need to spend $30.00 a month to use this phone?

Android data plan is required. (required by tmo to get subsidy and required in general for the mt3gs if you ask them)

Are you on the even more, or even more plus, better yet, do you have a contract.

If you don't then you don't have to have the data SOC, it's all a matter of the rate plan you have.

Keep that in mind, but if you're "upgrading" expect the 30.00 MRC.

There's a work around just get someone that has a sim card with data service on it sign into google etc turn the phone off and put your non data serviced sim back in the mts and viola oh and call customer care to stop all web services not sure if they'll try to stop you but just give them some cock and bull story...
