Root Data Throttling

you can receive mms with that changed tho? or did you just try sending? kuz i think receiving is the part that screws with

it work i used 96.96 mb in data used but in the web page

I just want to say i changed all my proxy's even the mms one and then i couldnt download the picture message i received....luckily i wrote down the original mms proxy so i changed it back and it downloaded fine just an fyi

First off...hats off to SHINRU for all his hard work and dedication in producing these roms for us! PROPS! Secondly, how do I access the proxy with your rom (which is a very good rom BTW)?

Junkie, do youclick on the little magnifying glass to search and type in code or do you need quotes around the word code like: "code" ?

Shinru, is this new update available yet? I don't use 30GB but between my kids tethering my wifi on their tablets, 2.5GB is an absurd amount of data for Boost to be throttling their customers. Thanks for your help!
 
ACTUALLY I THINK U WONT GET THROTTLED UNLESS U HAVE A 4G phn like the s2 or the evo. cuz if u look the details of the throttling at boostmobile website, itll say that u will be throttled dwn to speeds of about 256kb wich is 3g speeds (thats wat they say) plus in my account where i see the data usage. it says 0 n that im not throttled. so i think unless u got a 3g phn, u wont have to worry about being throttled cuz they only gonna reduce the download speed to 3g anyway.

Thanks...I hope you are right...I can't say that I have been throttled yet...but there have been times with full bars that nothing seemed to be moving...not even as simple as going to a webpage...that may have just been network congestion though. I'll still look to grab Shinru's update once it's available just for GP. :D
 
I have been capped and my data usage keeps increasing after I followed these procedures with my Warp Sequent and changed all the proxies I found (total of 7) and even changed a few ports.. my speed has been capped at 32kBs. Data usage count at the Boost web site also keeps increasing so they are still seeing my usage.

What should I try next?.. I did receive a warning last month not to use a tether program, I used about 25G last period so perhaps Boost was keeping an eye on me.

U shud root or phone. N why did u mess wit the ports? Plus or only suppose to change the proxies only in multimedia, DSS and in MMS nothing else

Shin, when will I be able to download your new update with the external DNS? Boost texted me saying I had used 85% of my data usage cap and that they were going to throttle me once I reach 2560MB! DUDE according to my phone's data usage I have only used .096GB...less than a freaking GB...what communists!

if passed the 2.5 gig then a will say yes on throttled never change any proxy always connect to wifi but im going to try not to use wifi to see if anything change
 
U MUST change The proxies in multimedia and dss so They cant Track ur data. My data was on 85% too but dats cuz i was using cm10 n theres no hidden menu so u cant change Proxie Now im back to stock nd my data still hasnt changed every Time i refresh.

Just received this from boost first time ever and have all proxy but mms set to zero.....bastards
 
I got it last night. On cm10 rom. But im back on stock n i checked my data usage again but its still the same wen they sent me that txt
