Help Data Usage Widget?

So upon installing the new update, there was a Data Usage widget. My question is, since I got my Thunderbolt w/ contract at launch, I shouldnt have to worry about data usage right? Isn't it unlimited? What is the point of the widget?

Right. Yes, it is. For most of us. So the point of the widget is for anyone who buys a ThunderBolt, or any other smartphone, after last Wednesday will not have an unlimited data plan and they need to keep track of how much data they're using.

Same here. Just to see how much money I would be spending if i didnt have the unlimited plan.

When you upgraded to the unlimited 4g plan you are granfathered claused in not to worry. I don't use the widget but I use the app to keep track of my minutes.

That's why I was going to use it but all it does is try connect and never does. I just get the connecting image. I gave up on it.

I recommend RadioOpt Traffic Monitor for data usage. Separates WiFi data to Verizon data, and there's more. The widget is nice, it resets every month.

That's not that shocking, AT&T did it months and they have said it was going to happen months and months ago on Verizon.

i have never gone over 2gb but netflix isnt out for this phone yet
