Data use

shortarc

Newbie
On my LG spectrum 2 when I check on what is using data the ones using the most data are.

WeatherBug
Google Play Store
10096
Removed apps.

I have searched the net for an hour and can't find any mention of the 10096. Would like to know what it is.
Also the Removed apps, whats with that one. If apps are removed how are they using data??

Thanks for any advice.

Removed apps is showing you how much data apps that youve since uninstalled used since the start of the month.
ive no idea about the number thing but tap it in data stats and check how much background data its using

Thanks that explains the removed apps.
The 10096 app shows 22.13MB background data.
My most used app is WeatherBug it shows 37.55MB

open your weatherbug app and under preferences, change you refresh rates to something less frequent. it will automatically refresh when you launch the app, your widgets just won't update as often, but it will reduce the amount of data that it uses.

Not to concerned about the Weatherbug app as I have been using it a lot lately due to several days of thunderstorms, but I will kick the refresh rate back a couple of hours.

Thanks

Is the 10096 app listed in Application Manager? Things with just numbers might be Chinese. My Bank of Communications app just lists itself as 95559, which is actually their short-code for phoning them.

That seems like a lot of data just for a weather app. Think AccuWeather only uses something like 500k in a month, that's what I use.

The 10096 isn't listed anywhere in the app manager. Even tried a google search and couldn't come up with anything.

I spent a lot of time on the live radar on the weatherbug app.
