Root Data while on the phone

not as far as i know.i tried the other day and the data gets shut off while on the phone.

nope, it cant be done, it uses the same basic components to make phone calls that it does to make phone calls so both cant be used at once

Yeah I believe this is one of the issues with CDMA or something along those lines.

it's because data and voice use the same antenna. wifi and voice work simultaneously because they're separate antennas with separate systems.

it applies to gsm as well, wimax might be able to work at the same time, and i know lte makes it possible though not all phones with it are set up for both at the same time. unfortunately we dont have any kind of 4g

good to know, im thinking it may be "capable" just like some early lte phones were capable of it but werent set up for it. at least if i remember correctly, i could be wrong im not sure its been a long day lol
