Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

I'm giving it till June 3rd because these push back dates are confusing
1) I am told by some reps that my phone will be coming by June 1st if i ordered May 14
2)then i was told June 3rd by some reps
3)yet a rep called me and told me June 10th...i actually fussed her out...I know it's not her fault but i told her i am tired of getting the run around...this is riduculous and bad customer service

She offered to have the price removed to get it free...but im giving Verizon and htc till the third or i'm outtie :)

I know how you feel, ordered mine on the 10th, processed on the 11th.

Between the reps I talked to I heard anything from "It will ship by the 14th" to 6/1. When they said 6/9 I got pretty angry with them, pick a darn date already and stick with it! I'm getting tired of being tossed around D:

does anyone know if there's a logical advantage or disadvantage to ordering in store versus online? i ordered mine in store on 5/10, and at the time she said it would ship by the 24th. i don't know if that's changed since then, but that's just what she told me.

fwiw, she said that she ordered a few on Friday 5/7, and they shipped on Tuesday 5/11.

My friend already told me i could switch to his sprint line since he wants the incredible but is on sprint and i could take his evo...so all we would do is switch phones lol

On a plus side,

has anyone seen that new samsung galaxy s phone?
it's coming to t-mobile
and from the video
it's supposed to be better on the level of the incredible and evo

I'm almost to the same point. If mine doesn't come by June 3rd, I might just cancel and wait for the Moto Shadow or Droid 2. No phone is is so ggod that we should have to wait this long for while they have our money, not even the Incredible.

Silly question: Does anyone remember what time their phone shipped or when they received the email? I hate running back to my inbox and hitting F5 haha!

And No, I have not seen anything about the samsung phone, I'll have to take a look!

Ok, now THAT ticks me off. I read where one other person is also getting it free... I have called 4 times, been told 4 different things, on top of being told before I placed the order that the darn thing WAS in stock - and no one has offered me any kind of concession whatsoever.

Now, the most recent call (5 minutes ago) tells me that I will HAVE it BY May 28. First she said "ship by" but then within a minute she specifically said "It could ship sooner depending when they come in, but you will have it by the 28th."

My order date was May 12, and so far I've never been given a June "ship by" date. Although one rep said it will ship BY May 27th, and then he turned around and said "between May 27-31" which could end up resulting in a June receive date because of the holiday.

Been told twice now that all I can do is just wait for a tracking number and expect it the following day. So I guess that's what I'm stuck with.

I think it's a little ridiculous that they seem to have NO info from the manufacturers though. If they expect to be able to start shipping before next Friday, they should darn well have a very good idea when they're expecting the stock to arrive from the place they order it from and when they expect to begin shipping. This goes for any industry with a shipment/delivery THIS big.

One week (or less) out, you cannot have me believe that they just plain "don't know". Not when they are expecting a shipment this big and are confidently telling people things will ship within the next 6-7 days.

Hm....
does it really fluster you this much?

Idk, i feel like the high demand proves the phone is likely to be fantastic. yeah waiting sucks, but (no offense) letting a company that has x-million subscribers know that you can't wait like the rest of the fanatics to get the same phone doesnt really help too much.

Again no offense to you, but as an employee at comcast i get yelled at constantly for things outside of my control. I noticed a few other people who got fussy with the service reps, but their only relaying the information that they are given. You would be surprised at how much misrepresented information there is in a call-center like that. If the dates are changing constantly and the supervisors/leads aren't relaying the information accurately then that is likely the reason for the disparity between the dates some of you are getting when you call repeatedly.

Granted... i want my phone pretty badly as well, but i didnt order until the 17th. I'm sure i'll be waiting about a week from today.

You are day dreaming if you think you are going to get the phone early next week. People that ordered their phone May 8 & 9 still haven't gotten their phone.

Unless you get lucky with a huge shipment, it's likely going to be a few weeks--

ah, thats unfortunate. I suppose i'll just end up waiting then. The phone really does seem fantastic.

anybody that placed their order in store, do you know how to check the status online? i haven't been able to find a way yet, as the order number doesn't work.

also, any advice for getting the phone for free? college kid on a budget :) i suppose i should wait until longer after i ordered (2 days ago) but i have no way of checking my expected delivery date

Call and keep complaining lol.

My brother called and complained about his phone and his contract date was way in 2011(like towards 2012) and they allowed him 2 year pricing on a Droid(he hates htc phones)

lol but yea if you are annoying enough, i always get my way...i've done it a few times to get what i want...yes i know its bad and kind of immature but oh well lol

matt, the Samsung Galaxy S
does look like a lovely phone.

beautiful display and what not and is running 2.1 at a snapdragon processor
and a 4.0 in screen

If it wasn't samsung, i'd actually consider it lol

Did this entire ordeal just get worse or something? When I ordered on the 8th, most people were getting their phones within a few days and the general consensus was that Verizon's "will ship by" date meant nothing.

I'd love to call and keep complaining, but now they are keeping notes - it seems someone I talked to the other day put notes in about when I called and what they told me... so when I called today and griped, the rep referenced the prior call with a tone of "we already told you this, freak. stop calling."

Still no shipping number in my email.

lol you were able to get the one smart rep that verizon has.

For every 800 employees they have, they have a smart one lol
i've come across one or two before in the past 2 years haha

but seriously, i havent gotten shipping either.
you won't get until it leaves the warehouse on fed ex truck.

at least thats what they told me.
it may say the order is processed
and will be in 2-3 days but it doesnt
really matter until you get the actual email...

but i guess it doesnt matter as much now.
i got my 200 bucks back lol

Ordered in-store, 5/11 (Chicagoland)
Called verizon once last week, was told it'd ship by 5/14 (would have arrived this past Monday).
Called again Tuesday this week, told by 5/29.
Called again just now, told 5/29, and that I don't have a tracking number which means it hasn't even arrived in a warehouse. I asked for my order no., but it isn't recognized on the website when I try to 'check my status'. Is it on the receipt somewhere? I could have misheard him, he sounded really stressed and spoke really fast.

When I ordered my phone in-store on the 8th the VZW employee told me that the warehouse in Memphis had 21,000 Incredibles in stock, but that 9000 were already sold and slated to go out. She told me that I would get one of the remaining 12,000 and that she "would be shocked" if I didn't have it within a week. It has now been almost two weeks.

My guess is that a combination of FedEx and VZW's warehouse is the problem. As a former UPS employee I can tell you that the sorting facilities have a threshold of the number of packages they can process in a night. Just like VZW's warehouse has a limit on the number of phones they can box up and label. There is a pretty good chance that Verizon and FedEx worked out an agreement to stagger shipping - say a few thousand a night so that both could keep up.

One problem with my guess is that the main Fedex sorting facility is in Memphis. I'd have to think that they could handle all that extra volume without a problem. Maybe the bottleneck lies in the fact that Verizon just can't box and label them fast enough? Or maybe the VZW employee who told me that there were 21,000 DInc's didn't know her arse from a hole in the ground.

For people that ordered their phone in the store. Your order status or tracking won't appear until your phone is actually in the FedEx mailing service. Before then, if your put in your order number and last name nothing will come up.

That is yet another thing that is starting to make me nervous with Verizon, this integrity of this "Will ship by date". This BB's battery is about shot, and its not worth purchasing a new battery just to later switch to another phone!

my order number isn't recognized either.
i was told it wouldn't till i got a tracking number/had been processed
so you probably didn't type anything wrong in.

and imagine they are stressed...I am a bit impatient but there are
quite a few belligerent people who make a big deal because they have to
wait.

I made a big deal because i keep getting a conflicting story

but oh well..
