Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

Order date : 5-12-10
Will ship overnight, be here 5-28 before 3pm

I think they will just prorate what you have used for those 3 days then added it to you regular monthly bill, I know thats how ATT works, I could be wrong wouldn`t be the first time:D

Let me know what they say. I'm in Ohio. My Verizon orders have come from Memphis before. It does look like they are a day behind.

Did you have to call CS for the tracking # or did they send it to your e-mail? Getting worried that my company's IT area is going to flag me for visiting this forum and my e-mail so often......

I ordered in store on 5-11 @ 3:30pm pst. Just called this morning (*611) and got a notification that they saw a new phone on my account and if I wanted to activate it press 1 otherwise press 2 to go to main menu. Pressed 2 to get a cs and she advised that it will be deliver today.

Order date: 5-11 (in store)
Ship date: 5-25 (no email notification)
Ship type: 2 day air
Ship from: Ontario, CA
Destination: Spokane, WA

Ouch. Just used the fedex reference number to find my shipment. Looks like it started to be shipped this morning. Going to be here June 1st! :mad:

Ordered 5/12. Haven't received email notice yet.

Maybe since it mailed this morning that my estimated time will move up to tomorrow?
 
Ordered around 8 PM on 5/12 and received a shipping notification today around 9 AM (5/27).

Ship date May 27, 2010
Estimated delivery Jun 1, 2010 by 4:30 PM

ARGH! Missed the cutoff by not even 24 hours. Oh well, at least it has shipped! :D

EDIT: Shipping from Memphis to southeast Georgia. Forgot to mention that.
 
Reordered mine on 12th after they sent me the wrong replacement phone for a camera issue. They sent me an Eris instead of an Incredible. And just got my shipping email 20mins ago. Shipping from Tn and will be here on June 1st.

Just talked to Verizon CS. Ordered mine online on 5/12, shipping to MI from Memphis. Rep told me that it was set to ship today, but does not have a tracking # yet. Delivery is 2-day and set to arrive 6/1 - no way to change to overnight. He also confirmed that the 30 day worry free guarantee does not start until activation date, not order date.

One more weekend with a dumb-phone. :(

I didn't have to call- I did try to call yesterday, but no response. I just got the email this morning. It is shipping Fedex Overnight and will be here tomorrow.
 
Called the store that I ordered from and spoke with a CSR that sounded completely and totally miserable... However...

MY PHONE SHIPPED ON THE 26TH!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

PS. If you are waiting on a shipping notification and think you should be getting one, CALL A CSR AND ASK! Im starting to see more and more people not getting notifications.. myself included
 
Ok i have a question. I ordered IN STORE on the 14th, i went ahead and paid the $260 (2yr agreement phone, case cover, vehicle charger, and bluetooth headset). The money was already taken from my account, and this is my very first smart phone. My current plan is the Nationwide Premium plan, however when i actually receive my phone i will have to switch to a Talk & Text plan plus the data package. There should be about a $20 difference between my old plan and new plan. I will get my phone before my next payment is due, but when i switch HOW and WHEN will they charge me, since it requires a new plan?

I'm still hoping for an outside chance that the shipping estimate moves up because it was picked up so early this morning. Or maybe it gets to my town Friday or Saturday and I can just pick it up at the fedex station it is at?

What you guys think?

I work for FedEx, and I can tell you that all of the packages go out at the end of the day no matter what time they are picked up or dropped off. The trucks are not constantly taking packages to the airport. If for some reason a package got to your station, it would need to be designated as a hold at location package before you could pick it up (with the exception of attempted delivery at your home).

They will prorate your plan from the day you activated the new phone to the end of the billing cycle.

The last time Verizon shipped me a phone (the TP2 that I subsequently returned) FedEx told me that ALL Verizon shipments have to go to the designated shipping address first. I wanted to pick it up from the station too as I knew that I wouldn't be home to accept delivery, but no dice. What they told me to try was leaving a letter for the delivery person stating that you authorize them to leave the package with shipping #XXXXXXXXX from Verizon at the door and sign the letter. I did that and the TP2 was on my porch when I got home!

Of course, you have to be in the right neighborhood to make that work - I wouldn't have tried it at my old house.

Here's hoping for an early delivery!
