Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

Yeah, I was surprised by this too! Someone said they expect VZW to be caught up by next monday, and I guarantee that they catch up soon, within 2 weeks.
 
Long time listener, first time caller.

I ordered my Incredible on 7/14 and have a Ship date of 8/2. I am eagerly waiting like the rest of you.

Indeed... if they can continue pushing through 6-7 days worth of backlog a day, tomorrrow they'd get up through the 15-16th, and monday theyd get through the 21st-23rd, which'd be pretty much all caught up..
 
alrighty, well ive had it for just over 24 hours now and i have NOT put the damn thing down haha. I literally got zero work done today :p

My first impressions...

BE PATIENT!! Its most certainly worth the wait guys and gals... with that being said,

wow the battery really does suck a big one (but we know this). im pretty savy with techy gadgets and im paying attention to all that is running, etc but this battery just plain drains so fast. i have my screen set to 50% or less most of the time, i dont have ATK in the background, dont use friend sync (or whatever its called), spent most of my day just using about 20 mins worth of internet (3G), sent a lot of texts (my biggest use of any phone i have) and sent/received about 30 emails or so. soooo... i have some more experimenting to do but i def see the verizon 2150 battery in my near future lol

other than the battery, i cant rave enough about this phone. ive downloaded a few apps here and there. they all work and make the phone that much more productive. Like i said earlier, everyone be patient because its truly worth it.

i couldnt tell you what type of screen i have and frankly i dont care. i did experience the difficulty viewing in direct sunlight if that makes a difference. the screen is very clear and photos look amazing on it. oh btw, i did play with the camera briefly and im very pleased to see its a good unit. the greyscale/bw pic setting is beautiful :)
 
I have been lurking on this thread but since I got my shipping notification I figured I would share.

Ordered: 7/2 (online)Promised Date: 7/30
Shipped Date: 7/22
Estimated arrival: 7/23

My tracking info on FedEx does show it is going Standard Overnight as was promised when ordered online.

Interesting thread on this whole 8 hour charge. I tend to believe him so I will likely not charge for 8hrs. I still think charging to full (green light) before turning it on is good because this will calibrate the phone to know what full is, but according to that guy you can leave the battery on too long and overcharge the battery...and it doesn't help at all according to him.
 
yeah i had my phone on the charger for about 5hrs yesterday (it was delivered yesterday) before reading that new thread about not needing the full 8 hrs. i think i took it off at 7hrs or so and started playing. i DO hope its true that over time the battery life gets better but i wonder...:confused:
 
Is it possible to check the status of in store orders online? I ordered 7/20 due to the new tiered data rumors and they said it would be in by 8/2. I am a new Verizon customer and my plan will not go into effect until I receive my phone.

When I ordered it said 8/9. After I ordered the phone, I went back to the page and it said 8/2. I guess they just updated it as I purchased my order..lucky me!! You shouldnt be far off though
 
I must say that I am glad to hear about your shipping stats, but not so happy about mine. I ordered in-store 7/4 and mine has yet to ship! I was okay until today. It's just so hard to see you guys with 7/5 and 7/9 order dates who either have your phone or are expecting it in the next day or so. I called this afternoon and while the lady was extremely nice, and even put me on hold to go into the system and "refresh" so she could get an update, still nothing. She told me it would ship by 8/3. :( I am so impatient right now. Do you think my plight has anything to do with the extra equiptment in my order? If they could just give me a tracking number I'd drive myself nuts refreshing the Fedex page. Lol. This is getting harder by the day...
 
Where are all of you from who are getting shipment notifications when you ordered 7/8 -7/9 and where are they shipping from? Kind of curious to see if there's a correlation

hang tough, its gonna ship within the next day or so, I promise. They are all going up and I do not think your extra equipment is holding it up.

I am in CT and I re-ordered in store and I called them every day for two weeks, LOL!

The phones are shipping fast, no one except maybe people ordering today will have to wait until 8/3

Yeah, hang in there! It'll happen! Just last week I didn't think I was gonna make it but low and behold it'll be here tomorrow...supposedly. What sucks is I'm on a 24 hour shift tomorrow and won't be able to play with it until Saturday. :mad:

Good news to me as I'm a CTer myself. If the warehouses or whatever in this area are getting their shipments out faster that'll mean I'll get mine sooner :cool: Whereabouts in CT? I'm from West Haven
 
I got a strange e-mail today on my way home from work, it was a shipping confirmation from VZW but it showed me a USPS tracking number.
I called CS a few minutes ago and he tells me my phone is scheduled for delivery on the 24th by 7pm.
He sent me a text with the tracking # and it was the same as the one on the e-mail.
I know fedex works with the USPS on deliveries but do they use the same style of tracking #'s also if it's true has anyone else received Saturday delivery.

Est.Shipping 8/2
 
Thanks for the encouragement! I think I can, I think I can....wait...at least a few more days. Meanwhile, this Texas teacher is ready for her incredible phone. I've even set up a special place for him to charge up when he arrives.

and to the post about a USPS number mine had the same thing. i guess usps takes the phone to the fed ex ship center then its Fed Ex's package!
