Since I have nothing but housework to do today I have decided to break the monotony and harrass our friendly neighborhood CSRs...
Me: I explained to CSR how when I ordered the morning of 6/16 the website stated shipping by 7/8 with free overnight shipping. Which is great need it by 7/10 (bday present for my daughter). Then I had read some forums that were stating pushbacks on shipping so I went and checked the site again and boom shipping now 6/12. Then the next day found out my order wasnt processed until 6/17 which changed the shipping again...to 7/15. So after spilling my wowes I asked if there was ANY way I could get it before the 10th. Wishful thinking I know but a girls got to try.

CSR: Not sure, Verizon is being very strict on when they are being sent out.
Me: but they are not getting shipped when they are supposed to, I've been hearing that they are 1-2 days behind now.
CSR: Yes, I think they got upset when they were shipping them out a day or two early and then all these calls came in about how so and so got theirs a few days early why cant I. So they are waiting until that day or after to ship now. I have also heard that they are trying to hord them and then send out mass shipments.
Me: So I'm stuck with 7/15?
CSR: Probably, but let me check something...(put on hold)...Yes I am sorry they will not let shipping dates be modified. The warehouse that ships to your region has no units instock right now either.
Me: Well cant it ship it from a different warehouse?
CSR: Then you wouldnt be able to get it overnighted.
Me: I dont mind that, I didnt even have to pay for the overnight shipping.
CSR: Let me check...(hold again)...I am very sorry but I was informed that we do not do things that way. There are specific warehouses for specific regions.
Me: Well, ok. Thank you for your time.
CSR: I am so sorry, you would figure they would let the customer choose to do it that way when something like this happens.
Me: It would cut down on a lot of dissatisfation, at least knowing it is shipped gives a little comfort. Not knowing when it is going to ship is just very frustrating.
CSR: I can imagine. (Pause) If you are interested the Droid X comes out on 7/15. You would be in the window to exchange if you were. Although they are not taking preorders right now and honestly I believe that there might be even more problems with the Droid X shipping with all this hassel with the Incredible. But it could be they are anticipating the Droid X and that is why they are not on the ball with the Incredible. You know put the old on the back burner and get the new one out front make sure we have it. We already know who wants the other one...
Me: If thats the case there is some bad business ethics in that place.
CSR: I agree. Is there anything else I can help you with?
And that was the end of that because, well what more is there to say. She was really nice, most of the other I have talked to made it seem like I was waisting their time as soon as the word "Incredible" was said....
Oh, bad thought, do you think she even checked anything when I was put on hold? Or is this a new diversion tactic? Be nice, seem helpful and get off the phone faster?
