Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

So much for next day delivery because of the delay. Just noticed that from our new bill online they also seemed to start charging for the data package when the phone was ordered. Keep an eye out for that.

Call customer service right away. I bet they will credit you for the unused service. Customer Service should be able to do that.

I swear to god that it's a sinister plot by Verizon to get us all spun up into a lather..basically drooling in confusion and frustration yet all the while, they are plotting something big.

I dont' know what it is yet..but it's something.

Friggin pissa..now I can add paranoia to the list of growing symptoms of this cursed waiting game.
 
so my order is supposed to be here by 3pm today and its 2:56 here with no package yet. imma shoot the fedex guy and tell him ups is better. i think vzw has a contract with fedex to torture people.

These dates are also being updated every now and then, so you can call *611 and get the updated expected ship date. As much as I hate waiting and want my phone to be shipped on time, this post makes the most sense of all I have read. Nobody likes the situation, including HTC, Samsung, Verizon, Me, and my family that has to hear me talk about the "stupid phone" every day. I am trying to be patient and check this thread multiple times a day to try to determine if my 7-9 shipping date will be late, early or on time. Filing a legal complaint against Verizon is futile in my opinion. Good luck to those of you that feel a need. Life is too short for me to go there. I am waiting patiently and hoping for the same patience once my shipping date comes near. If my phone is late I am sure it will be because of circumstances out of Verizon's control and not part of their evil plan to screw their customers. Take a deep breath and relax. :)

Still no shipping info.

I called Verizon and the CSR said it would not ship until 6/28 because "there were 1 million people waiting on this phone" and I would just have to wait. I told her she was full of $h!t no way this phone is selling over 1,000,000 units. just more lies spewed out of Verizon CSR's mouths.
 
From what I've read in my research on the delay (and my Vzw salesman "confirmed") the reasoning behind the production delay by HTC and Samsung is the unresponsiveness by the touch screen.

I've seen YouTube videos where a user has his DInc laying on the couch and the phone doesn't register his presses. However, when he picks it up and does the same thing it begins to work. Kinda the opposite of the issues with the iPhone 4 dropping bars when held wrong.

I hope they have this fixed before I have to wait a month before I receive my DInc.

Yea, this is a tough issue. Technically, whoever ordered you the phone, should not have "promised" anything. If the person selling you it isnt personally getting the phone and shipping it, theres no promise behind anything. When i sell them, I tell customers, the ESTIMATED shipping date is xx/xx/xxxx, this way it covers my back, but I also say it could ship quicker, because it COULD

Yea the screen issue messed us up at launch, and because of that, its still backordered from all the sales that we lost by having 20 in the store at launch..they should have pushed launch date back a week and stockpiled them..

You could have avoided this by ordering it the day it came out. I got my phone in 18days. And customers Ive ordered for have received theirs in less than 3weeks. Because they didnt wait to order. We are getting tons of these comming in the stores now for activation and phone book transfers..so they are hitting..

and you would be plain silly to buy a i-phone

I had to wait for my new every 2. My wife decided to get an Eris so at least I'll be familiar with SenseUI by the time I get mine.
 
Big bummer, Just got an email from Verizon and yes there is an added delay of around 5 days. They also said there is no way to tell which people will get the delay. LOL.. FML ..This is getting redunk.
