Has anyone heard what might be the next android VZW phone to be released after Droid X? It will quite likely fall in my 30 day trial period with my 6/10 order date of the Droid Invisible.

Droid X is the 2nd Motorola Droid (hence the reason I won't be getting one, I hate Motorola with a fiery passion).
I figured out what the only thing worse than being in this Droid "black hole" is.........
Being in this Droid Void and having the screen protector AND flexi skin for the thing show up today. So now, I get to live vicariously though all those lucky folks who have theirs and pathetically pretend to open apps on a 2x4.5" cardboard insert that came with the flexi skin.
Ohhh the indignity of it all!

Well I am convinced that she was just saying it shipped to get me off the phone. I have not received any notifications so I guess I will be waiting till sometime next week! I am so glad that I was not to excited about it...lol....I will not get excited until I have a tracking number.....
I sure hope everyone has a great weekend in the asylum....

Got my case today and ran around the house doing that to bug the wife...
Coming out of lurkdom to raise my hand - another 6/7'er here. I have called CS several times in the past three weeks to get updates and am always told that a 6/28 ship date is still on, but lurking on this board means I know better than to believe that.
I called today and was told that I'm still on for 6/28, but could swap out for a Droid X if I wanted to so long as my DInc hadn't already shipped. I'm not gonna lie - I'm considering the swap.
The CSR did admit that there have been delays across the board and that it's likely my phone won't ship on the 28th, although she couldn't give me any specific dates.
A fellow 6/7'er here. Last time I called Sales for info on my order was Monday or so. The rep told me that i would get the phone by the end of next week. My ship date is 6/28, and this seems like a good hint that i may be affected by the 5 day delay - which is upsetting news to say the least.

There will be the Droid X and The Motorola Droid 2.....two different phones =)

Instead of ordering my phone online I went to our local verizon and asked them to reserve me a phone when their shipment came in. That was last week. They received a shipment of Incredibles in yesterday and they called me and said I could come pick it up. Maybe going in and just reserving a phone at your local verizon may be faster? Just my experience.
I was contemplating trading up for the X, but I just can't imagine the size. I went back to the Verizon store and played with the display for about 45 minutes and I really, really like the size of the Dinc over the EVO 4g so I'm going to just tough it out.
On another note, Wirefly is quoting 1-2 weeks for delivery and they can just add the phone to your current account... That's certainly better than a month.
A local store in Austin -- Go Wireless -- put me on their waiting list and said they were receiving phones about every 1-2 weeks. If that is the case, why would Verizon, the home company, take a month?

Called CSR early 6-24 to check, was told should ship on 6-25. Although he did not take my name or actually track my order, just read the company line. Bored at work called back later same day, got a very nice lady who took my name, and traced my order. She told me she had a memo that said phones due on or before the 28th shipping was pushed back 5 days.
She traced my order, and yep not shipped yet. So if the moon and stars align, I MAY get it before the holiday weekend. NOT holding my breath.

i didnt know it was being delivered today
. i never got a tracking number and i was under the impression that fedex didnt deliver on weekends.turns out they do deliver on saturday but not monday, so i have to miss work on tiesday to sign for the package. super frustrating *edit* i called them asap after i found the note and they said NO WAY was there a way to pick up or anything the package before tuesday for fedex home delivery. i had a $500 package with UPs for a nikon d70 bundle and the UPS driver MET ME on his route and gave me my package like it was at my house. UPS > Fedex

Hello all, I'm a 6/11'er and my phone is supposed to be shipped on 7/9. The part that makes me sad, is that I bought milk yesterday that has the same date on it. We will see if the phone comes before the milk is gone, ha.

I think online orders get email and other only get it if you ask for it when you order or if your salesman takes initiative. Also, for those with the 5 day push, dont fret, I think you are looking at a 1-3 day delay in shipping. They were running 2-4 days early, so they pushed back so people wouldn't be upset if 1-2 days late. (IMHO)
