Well, I have been lurking here since the 6th and it sure has been quite amusing and entertaining. Congrats to those whom have received their Dincs!
I started calling #611 this past Friday the 25th just to see whether my phone was one of the lucky ones to escape the island (Lost reference for those who don't get it). I was greated by a very polite fellow who insisted that my phone was still scheduled to be shipped on Monday, the 28th.
I called again, yesterday the 28th around 2:00 pm and spoke with another polite CSR person who told me that she did not see where my phone had been shipped yet but she told me that when she got a tracking number she would text me. LOL... like I was actually going to get a text from her.
So, I just off the phone with CSR
TAMIKA 
who informed me that my phone hadn't been shipped yet and that she couldn't tell me when it might ship.
I proceeded to use all the useful information that I got from this message board to see whether I could get some kind of reimbursement for my wait. She said that I should call my local Verizon store to see if they could give me more information about my shipment.
I broke out into a very loud laugh and she asked what was so funny.
I said you are because they have access to the same info that you just told me and all you want me to do is get off the phone with you. All you did was pass the buck. What kind of CSR are you? She put me on hold and came back on about 15 minutes later. Told me that she just spoke with her supervisor and if I wanted to cancel my order I could get the new Moto X that will be coming out mid-July!
I again laughed and said that if I wanted to wait that long why would I have ordered the phone back on June 6th?
Well, she said "we don't make the phones so if you want to call HTC I can give you their phone number".
Look Tamika, all i want is a date that my phone might ship. If you don't know, then tell me you don't know! Don't try and get me to buy another phone so I have to wait another 2-3 weeks!
She asked me, well what would you like me to do for you?
I said, "GET MY PHONE SHIPPED OUT! I thought I was pretty clear on that issue."
Actually at this point I was just having fun with her just to see how she reacted! She told me that since they "Just started taking orders for the Dinc on June 5th, and with me ordering it on the 2nd day, June 6th I would think you should be getting it soon". I asked her,
"So they just started to sell this phone on June 5th, boy I was lucky I got my order in so early. I pitty those who are ordering right now!"
FYI, Tamika, this phone has been available for a few months I believe, so I think you need to get more information before you make yourself look more stupid than you already sound. Actually, Tamika, you are worthless to me so I think I am going to call back and speak with someone who won't BS me!"
Her reply, "Thanks for calling Verizon!"
I would be embarrased to have people like this be my CSR! So, in the end what information did I get, not a whole heck of alot other that I could cancel and wait for the X! LOL
