I just ordered mine 6/28 with a ship date of 7/27. I will actually be out of town on the day it is supposed to arrive. Will Fed Ex just hold my package for me until I return? I will be out of town that whole week that it is expected to ship. Of course that is if it even ships on time. I am hoping and keeping my fingers crossed that it will ship early and arrive before I leave for vacation.

If you call them after the 1st attempt they'll hold it for you.

Went to the Verizon store and played on the X (and to spike the incredible vein ). Those who are switching will not be disappointed. I'm still holding out for the DiNC though. I have WAY too much time into this to give up now, but those of you who ordered DiNCs in the past few days and that don't want to continue this trend of madness... CANCEL YOUR ORDER AND GO FOR THE X!!

Congrats to my peeps who no longer have to wait! As for you Memphis, TN FedEx....

Okay guys, it's FINALLY HERE!!

Didn't think I was going to get it in time today but BF was home in time to sign for it! I've been playing with it for about an hour and it really is true... robbyslady said it, babyblues said it, and now I'M saying it... while it's a pain in the a$$ to wait for so long, this phone is TOTALLY worth it!! I'm blown away by how much it can do! So far it is really living up to its name!! I will keep you posted and hope that you all get to enjoy your phones soon as well! Looks like orders are moving fast and steady now, so I'm gonna go hibernate for a couple of hours and check back in a little while! My phone and I need a little privacy! LOL

Ok....*phew* I need to know if on the 15th i can walk into the Verizon Store and get A Droid X.... Of course i will be the first in line.. But.. will they be GIVING OUT the Droid X? OR is it when Pre Ordering starts? I called last night the lady said.. you can Pre Order on the 15th... i was like wtf...

Then again does any one know if it will arrive faster then my order on June 26th? lol... I see people waiting almost a full month... Any thoughts?

Here is another Kansas hostage stepping out from the shadows. Long time lurker, first time poster. My Ed/Govt. acct rep ordered 5 for my company on 6/15. It has been a long wait, but this place helps. The end is getting nearer!!

Well I'm glad I'm not all alone in Oz. This place does help.. It is like being on a merry-go-round. You start out in the middle where it's seems it's barely spinning. The closer your due date the closer to the outside you get. Finally you reach the outside of this whirling dervy and it's spinning so fast you can't hang on. You get your notice and just go flying

I called csr at 1pm today and received my tracking # and checked it on fedex and my phone had just been picked up in pa.
It is now 6:30 pm and I still have not received a shipping email.
I'm a 6/8er and I'd suggest people calling in if they haven't received an email and ordered around the same time as me. Maybe you'll get lucky

i didn't think any of the stores were getting demo models of the X in until the release date, but thats awesome! where are you located?

Demo in Ohio. Fast device. The X's screen is not as responsive as the Incredible (IMO), it's MUCH more comfortable to hold/use compared to the original Droid, and it's extremely thin. For a Moto I was impressed.

If you cancel your incredible and go to the store on the 15th you'll be able to get it as long as stock doesn't run out. The V stores aren't pre-ordering at all
