Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

Happy 4th of July, everyone! I hope that all who have not received their orders yet are distracted at least for today by holiday activities! For those receiving this week, you are in for a treat! This phone is fantastic... it's lightning fast, has a kick a$$ camera, and I'm still discovering all of its capabilities. We've said it before, while it's agonizing to have to continue to wait, you'll really be glad once you receive it because you'll find it was totally worth your time!

I have a couple of questions and was hoping for some help.
My Dinc was shipped Friday and I have been tracking it from the Fedex website. It went to the sorting facility and then the local Fedex facility yesterday. Does this mean it will be delivered Tuesday instead of the estimated Wednesday? Did I gain a day because it was transported and sorted on the weekend? My wife will be home Tuesday but no one will be there Wednesday to sign.
My other question is do we have to set up our Dincs the regular way through a CSR via telephone or is there another way activate it? I have not heard from anyone as to how they set them up. I am going from a BB Curve to the Dinc. Has anyone had any problems getting activated? thanks

At this point, that's my feeling...I ordered a couple weeks ago with an estimated date of around 7/15...and no amount of calls will change that once the date comes and goes......so I'm enjoying my last days with my Dare, and hope to be pleasantly surprised when the DInc shows up...whenever that is. I can't put myself through what others have with the calls and whatnot...I just can't handle it....LOL Jeez...I keep forgetting I'm talking about a phone. What has this thing done to me!?
Sometimes I get Fedex packages early and sometimes not. I think it depends on the volume of packages on the delivery route for that particular truck. If volume is light they'll probably deliver it Tuesday.
There is no need to speak with a CSR to activate he phone. It will come with instructions on how to activate the phone through the IVR.
The date it says of fed ex page when you use your tracking number almost deff is the day you will receive it. As long as the line that gets the upgrade is the one your using your Inc for then you can activate right from phone, otherwise you will have to call 611. I had some difficulty activating mine cause i was using it on a different line from the one that i used upgrade.
I have a question for you as I am doing the same thing you did (activating the phone for the upgraded number and then switch it to the desired number the next day) or at least I think it is the same thing. When you first activated it, were you able to download all of your apps from say AppBrain and set up any mail accounts right away? Or do you have to wait until you switch the phone to the desired number to keep everything?

You cant do anything till its activated, not even look at your homescreen. You will have to call and talk to csr so you can 'accept terms and conditions'. now if you were to activate it on a number you dont plan on keeping it on then you would prolly have to actually go to the store to get that straitened out. You would confused the poor csr with all that.

Well...happy 4th! Getting ready to head in to work. hoping that since other 6/11s went out early that tomorrow i get my shipping....if not then i got about a week to be held hostage...just so many things to worry about..if my phone is messed up or has the LCD screen ima be upset
You guys are getting close. We should see a few 6/8 stragglers and rest of the 6/9s and us 6/10's roll out the first of the week. We've already seen a few 6/10s 11s and a 12 with notifications. We just have to be close to the beginning of the end of this unreal wait.
I heard my first "first hand" iphone4 horror story. My son's buddy came in from Chicago area and his boss jumped all over the first order ipone4. He is very dissapointed.. can't even use it in his business place where his old iphone worked. It went up on craig's list and he went back to his old phone. Now that is bad.

I think you won't see the lcd screen for a month or better. I understand it's being tested and would not be surprised if it's all just a ploy to get samsung off their duffs. In any event, I don't think they could change the screen without telling you of the fact first. That would be like ordering a new car with a v8 and it came in with a 6 cylinder.

About the car reference..thats just to funny.
Because you see I have a 1987 Iroc-Z Camaro with a 5.7L V8. Well the only physical difference between my car and the same car with a 5.0 V8 is one badge and a sticker under the hood. So alot of the dealerships back then replaced the badges so they could sell a 5.0V8 as a 5.7V8 and make more money

Nothing at this point would surprise me lol. But, does seem like it would be a legit deal breaker if they sell you something different than you purchased. Nice car btw
