Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

So, I realize I'm still way early, and haven't even BEGUN to suffer yet... (Ordered 06.22.10, original estimated ship date was 07.20.10) but I figured I'd ask to get some feedback...

I ordered online through VZW's website, and had it billed through my account (Paid for that same day) and never received any kind of order confirmation email. Is this typical? When I go back into my profile on VZW, it still says I have an impending equipment order/phone to activate, but there is no order number, or any other contact from VZW since...anyone else have any experience with what comes next from an online order? Thanks!
 
Same boat as above, In TN. Ordered in store on 6/12, no shipping confirmation or 611 message. I think I'm about to die of anticipation...lol.

SS, I would definitely contact Verizon. I ordered online and received an email immediately after ordering. My email said - Sales Confirmation Verizon Wireless, Order ##########. It gave me all the information which was billed to my account, my purchase date and gave me a link to track my order process on the VZW website.

This definitely does not seem normal, I would contact VZW asap.

I purchased mine at an agent 2 weeks ago, but for the ones that are waiting, Wal-Mart in Secaucus, NJ and North Bergen, NJ have dozens in stock. The were priced at $148.88.

You're saying that those Wal-Mart stores are carrying the DInc? Was this price with an upgrade?
I have been to Best Buy and talked to them when they had them in store, the VZW site is letting me upgrade way early as the primary line and get the phone for 150$ but when I go to Best Buy, they say I am not eligible and I would have to pay full price, let me know if this would be the case for those Wal-Mart's too.
 
6/13er. Called Cust Service. They have no clue other than the original "Your phone will ship no later than 7/12".

Yay.

Yes, today is a new day. Lets start with some shipping notices now! I broke down yesterday and called CSR. Was given my original ship date of 7/12, and assured I would get a shipped email. I'm ready!

I am the same as you but I ordered online on the 20th.I didn't receive anything confirming my order in my email.I sent them an email concerning my order and 2 days later I got a response.

It gave me an online order number and a pdf. receipt. Send them an email and be patient:-) yes I know It's tough.

Oh believe me...I have been waiting for this thing since I obsessively followed this forum during the first leaks...I am nothing but patient...I was just worried that I hadn't gotten any confirmation that I had actually ordered the thing (Even though they happily billed me for it :p)

Thanks for your reply, though...I'm glad you were in the same boat so I know it wasn't just me...I simply sent them an email, and went back to saying my long goodbye to my LG Dare.
 
Question about purchasing the Incredible at a BB or Walmart. I added a line to my mom's account, and ordered the phone at 199.99 on 6/26. If I were to buy one at the above listed locations, how would the pricing work? Since my line is only 10 days old, would I get it for the 149.99? If so, i'll cancel mine and go pick one up because i'm near Secaucus, NJ.
 
I'm sitting here at work and the Fed Ex guy comes in with a box that clearly says Verizon Wireless Fulfillment! (I start to get excited, even though in the back of my mind I know MY phone is going to be shipped to my house.) One of the guys that works here has a Dinc and he blew out the speakers on it. The box is for him, and it contains his new Dinc. What! He can have two before I get one!! The kicker lies here. He is out of town for a couple of days, so the box is sitting on my desk. Opened.....
I can see the beauty....

My frustrations with Verizon are at a tipping point. 6/6er here, with still nothing from Verizon other than the same old stories! I've been civil and calm in my previous dealings with them (knowing that the CSRs don't know anything), but frankly I'm done being patient. Every time I call them from now on it will be hellfire and brimstone. Bunch of wankers!

Hmmm... I've been thinking about this... If yours is coming soon what would be the harm in activating his replacement phone then handing yours over once delivered?? :D:D:D

WOW... I am shocked. You're a 6/6'er and still nothing?? I am really sorry you're going through this BS. Are they still showing an order for you or did they conveniently "lose" your order? This is insane... No way should you have had to wait this long. :mad:
 
I just hung up with customer service. I ordered 6/24. I think my original ship date was 7/21. She had no update for me but she said she's going to research this and call me back. Maybe the squeaky wheel will get some grease? Or maybe it will arrive while I'm on vacation (6/23-30) and after three failed delivery attempts Fed-Ex will send it back and I'll be really screwed.
 
Good morning fellow prisoners.Today is the day. I took the day off work and have been up since 6 AM. I keep refreshing the Fedex site and it shows still at the local facility. Waiting for the word that it is on the truck. Original estimate was today by 3:30 PM but now says 7 PM. Did I get bumped to the afternoon /evening delivery??? I hope not. You all have helped make the wait a little bit easier and I thank you for that. I hope those of you who have been waiting longer than the rest of us get your confirmations/deliveries today!
Oh yeah... nmayer, love the photos! You have brought many positive comments, stories and some funnies to us. Thanks for your contribution. Now,back to the Fedex site for me....

The way my account is set up is its under my father's business account because I also work for him(he owns the business) and my mother and sister are on it also. So I call about the order status (6/15er) and the lady tells me she needs the account owner to check on the status of an order even though I've called 3 other times no problem. My father gets on the phone he gives them his email and shes like we don't have that do you have another and again she says they don't have it. So my father is like I have my tax ID number right here can I just give you that? and she insists that she must verify his email first so he ask to talk to a supervisor and SHE SAYS NO! she wouldn't let him talk to a supervisor so i don't know what the hell they are doing over there but its frustrating. On top of that I found out they moved the ship date back a day to 7/13 :mad: and I'm on vacation all week so I was hoping to get it this week.

LOL... I can't begin to tell you how many times I refreshed that Fedex page last week before mine was delivered. I know it sucks that the original Deliver By time has been moved from 3:30 to 7 PM, but at least today is YOUR day!! It will give you a few more hours to hang around with the rest of us, because we all know after you get it we won't be seeing you for a while!! ;)

the same thing happened to me this morning. I hung up on her and called back. Got a different CSR who helped me. I asked this CSR about the other one refusing to get me a supervisor. She was like "WTF???" and filed a complaint for me. She said that the 1st CSR was way out of line. Over the years I've found that cell company customer support is like Russian roulette ... you have to hang up and redial until you get a good CSR. Someone with a business line with multiple people on it should never get treated like that.

It's true, just like so many have before us. I hope to see you all in the other forums where we can share information, ideas and discoveries. But for now I am still part of this family and that's ok. I just wish I had a little more patience though!

Prob not the case but it wont ship if your account is past due, not implying yours is, but seems like a 6/6 outta have shipped, id be pissed too.... i raised a little hell through and email through verizon site and got re-stocking fee waived (for eris) and 10% off bill for 6 months....

I actually threatened to switch to AT&T.... a small bluff, but i was pretty pissed
