Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

Ordered mine in store on 6-26 supposed to arrive 7-26 when I ordered it. I don't know how to get new info on it, but I HOPE it arrives before 7-22 as I am going on vacation until the 27th..so it will be sitting at my house til I get back :(
 
So soon! I'm gonna camp the porch tomorrow with a six-pack of beer and some smoke. Have I mentioned how excited I am? LMAO I can't even think straight anymore...
 
Hello fellow loonies. Maybe it's because I'm not waiting now.. but it seems more Dincs are being shipped now.. KEWL !! You that are patiently waiting in line take a deep breath and sit back.. Your turn to jump for joy is right around the corner. The phone is everything you've heard and a lot more. It's.. well.. it's incredible. Had mine right at a week now and I still spend all my spare time fine tuning it. It is so configurable it can be just the way you want it :) Talk about some fun.. and.. it's a great phone.. I have managed on the oem battery though I purchased an extended life prior to receiving the phone. I just have nothing negative to say about this device.
You are gonna love it.
 
I'm so stoked. Yes, very close - it shipped yesterday and it should be here tomorrow (Weds. 7/14) before 7pm. I can't believe I'm so excited just to get a new phone. But it's not just a phone! I won't even have to touch my laptop anymore unless I want to play a full-blown online game. The Droid X, Evo 4, Nexus One, and even the iPhone 4 look amazing but the droid incredible just feels right. I considered all of these for weeks and in the end the Droid Incredible still won out. DInc FTW!
 
It's just right for me as well. I'm a pocket phone carrier and enjoy the size of the Dinc. It's designed where I never accidently make a call from the hip lol. The screen
size is perfect for me and it's brilliance and color display is outstanding. The speed of the phone is what blows me away. It is two times quick lol. The Sense UI makes the phone a pleasure to operate .. being handy as well as dang snappy and impressive. I've not shown the phone to anyone that isn't just blown away with the technology and responsiveness of it. Even my son who is a long time Iphone user picks it up and messes with it every time I'm around him. He continues to say.. man this phone is impressive. I look for him to take the leap to the Dinc when his current contract is up.
I'm sure it's not the phone for everyone.. that's why they make different phones. But.. it is exactly what I wanted and more than I expected.
 
on a side note i went to a VZW store this afternoon to play around with an incredible and the sales rep (who was extremely nice) started chatting with me. she let me see the x demo they had ready to put out. what a bizarre feeling phone. it feels really bulky and the change in thickness at the camera is annoying.

the dinc on the other hand...can't wait. :D
 
I ordered my Dinc in-store on 6/18.
Since I'm new with Verizon, the store rep said they can't give me a tracking number, so this whole month I've been out of the loop on my order status.

I called the store this past Saturday to see if I could get more info on the order. The store rep still says he can't give me a tracking number and he says it should arrive any day now (hopefully).

Should I call VZ customer service for a tracking number? I hate not knowing ANYTHING! :confused:

Seeing 6/18's go out already is making me feel a little better!!

I'd call cs.. why not? It costs nothing and you'll get waiting for activation message when the phone has shipped. If you continue to navigate their phone front end you'll eventually get a rep... who can then give you a tracking number if the phone has indeed shipped. Don't count on receiving a "Shipped" email. It didn't happen for me and it doesn't happen for many.
Calling cs will at least give you a heads up.
 
Posting from my dinc right now and I gotta say, just like everyone else before me, it was well worth the month-long wait! Hang in there and you'll soon be rewarded with an Incredible device lol.

Whoops sorry, I meant like that they would send me an Email Saying sorry bla bla bla you wont receive it now until Mid August while your on Vacation.

But now since there shipping out alot faster I will deff get it by July 27 the lady confirmed. =]

LOL!! I actually did the Fed-Ex trick and it showed up for me!! Haha, awesome! I just found out about it too.

Ship Date: July 13th
Estimated Delivery: July 15th

I feel much better. :)

Same here. I actually played with one last week and had to say it felt pretty good in the hand and didn't look too large. Got the Dinc today and stopped in the store to get a car charger and played with the X again and for some reason the thing felt twice as large and awkward. Guess I have grown accustomed to the Dinc already. The display seemed very dull compared to the Dinc as well although I still have to say, that big screen real estate is pretty nice.

One thing that surprises me is the reviews say how well the X is built. I find it very fragile feeling and "plasticy". It sure did have the feel of the large scientific calculator I had in college years ago. I am sure it is gonna make a lot of people happy though. I took the son in to see if he wanted one hoping he would so we could have both in the house but he said no, he wanted one like mine. Well actually he wanted the Moto Droid with the keyboard till he saw how slow it was compared to the Dinc. It is gonna be a couple months till he can get one so maybe by then the new and hot thing will trip his trigger.

Hey there somewhat neighbor. I live right outside BR east toward N.O. Glad to see a local here. I got mine today and am very happy with it. I ordered 6/14. Hope you get yours soon and congrats to all those getting their shipping info and didn't have to put in the wait quite a few had.

Just woke up and checked Fed-Ex this morning and its on vehicle for delivery!! One day early! Yayyy!
