Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

Wow! I ordered 7/10 and emailed CS as well. This was my response. Very disappointing:
I have checked your account and I show that 07/10/10 you placed orders to two HTC Incredible phones. I apologize however the estimated ship dates at this time will be next month with a target somewhere mid-month. The ship dates are changing daily, so if you visit our website you may show a different date then what you saw on the 10th. The new dates do not impact your order.
So this person was basically telling me that them bumping up ship dates would not help me at all. Even though CS told me 7/24.
i got a totally different answer again today when i called, they simply don't know. I highly doubt if you ordered it today you would get it faster than a week ago. My 2nd one was ordered 7/8 and as i posted above was told it would ship with every other July order by August 2nd, like that makes sense.
BTW, just messed around with the X, capable phone, but TOO BIG, and no HTC sense shows the ugliness of the moto and android.

Nmayer, i'm starting to wonder if fedex has more accidents than not, with all those pictures i'm just not sure haha

I replied to the email with this:
The will ship by date on the site at the time was 8/9, and customer service told me 7/24. So it's going to be later in August? That's quite a difference and quite a delay.
When I think mid-August, I think the 15th or later, not by the 9th. And yeah, makes absolutely no sense that someone who orders today would get theirs before those of us already waiting. Stall tactics much?
I just got the email with shipping notification! YEA!!! I can't wait. I've been reading all the threads in this forum regarding order dates and actual ship dates and was hoping mine would ship before the est. date and it did! I hate having to go thru the weekend waiting for it though. I've already been to appbrain.com and put several apps in folder to put on there.

pretty clear there is a five day cushion built into these times, since like everyone will get it about 5 days early. I got my first one 5 days early too. If we are shipping 6/23-24 today, I calculate we will be on 7/8 by 7/26.
Brian you don't even know... google fedex fail and you will see what i mean... not to scare you but they make it pretty easy.....

I just noticed that the order number in my original confirmation and the one CS just gave me, along with the location, are totally different. Hmm....

it is off the chain.... love it, by far the best phone i have ever had, and i been around.. lol when i was in high school you were cool if you had a beeper!!

haha beepers i was at the age where we didn't understand what the point was
in highschool i had the first gen tmobile sidekick, that's what everyone wanted haha. i had the dare for a little, the first env, the env touch, i'm using the 8700 now, i've been through a lot too. No smartphones though, can't wait to get mine. Hoping for a shipping notice maybe monday or tuesday?

My receipt has 2 day shipping listed and I never called and complained so I doubt I have been switched to overnight, but I can DREAM!

my first smart phone was the omnia. Loved that phone but glad to retire it now, had a 1st gen chocolate before that and thought that was the coolest thing since sliced bread. lol

I had it too! In white! I went through 5 in a year but I loved it everytime. I even went back to a black one once (knowing it would die on me) and it did a few weeks after but I loved that phone..

i got verizon to give me a full month free for shipping it two day the second time and not overnight.
Between that and the $25.00 gift card, the phone is free, too bad I don't have it.

Yay Just got my Dinc!! But my memory card is not in the box. Anyone else have this happen?? My receipt from when I ordered on 6/19 stated it would include one.

it wouldnt be in the box, its already put into the phone.
pop the back off and you will see it on the right side of the phone.
