Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

mine is here and I"ve been playing with it for the past few hours. It's pretty nice...very nice. Hate the cheap case I bought with it (crap plastic thing from verizon) . I'm getting it all set up and I'm super confused LOL...but I'm getting there. At least 1) the phone is activated and 2)facebook is running. hahaha...

I'm going to charge mine the 8 hours out of the box. If you've waited a month, another 8 hours won't kill you.. and it will obviously pay in the long run. Better safe than sorry I think..
 
IT CAME TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
but I missed it...
Was freaking out all day because no email, hadn't heard anything back from my email to customer service, fedex trick wasn't working.
Got home, cooked dinner, was getting ready for bed and opened my laptop to see the fedex notice sitting on the keyboard.
Fiance messing with me...
I'm going to have it for the weekend!!!!!

I charged mine for about 4 and 1/2 hours out of the box and turned off and my battery life is fine. I charged it at 9am this morning and I am at 60% battery currently.

According to some, an 8 or 16hr charge before hand might be a myth.
16 hours first charge time li-ion batteries. a myth!

But take it for what it's worth, I charged mine until the light turned green just in case...

That's what I was thinking "is it going to take 8 hours to turn green?" I'm going to read that post, but I think i'm going to do 8 hours because it can't hurt right?
 
This is the response when I sent an email to verizon. No change it yet it seems:

Mr. MyLastName, a review of your account reflects that your order for the HTC Incredible was placed on 07/01/10. The equipment is expected to ship by 07/29/10. We are improving the delivery of the Incredible so it's possible the device may ship prior to 07/29/10.

Once the equipment is shipped you will receive an email to the email address provided when your equipment was order. As a courtesy I have set a follow-up for your account to check the shipping of the device as well. I will notify you by phone with any updates."

I KNOW! Since the majority or the big posters got their phones, it's dead in here ): But I guess we're the big kids now, and one day it'll be our time to let the youngin's grow up and help the children on their own )':

Nope it can't hurt haha. The only reason I didn't wait 8 hrs is because my 8hrs would have been finished at 1am and I had to work the next day, so i figured I'd take my chances and if worst comes to worst I'll buy an extended battery.

I'm not very good at letting go...will become the oldest stalker on the "Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date" thread!

I guess this is what happens when you have no new phone to play with and it is a Thursday night.

BTW-keep fingers crossed...no new oil is leaking in Gulf.

If I were in your situation, I'd do the same thing! I may buy an extended, but not until I know I need one. (Hoping I don't haha).

I saw that too! Thank god. 80 something days.. crazy. But they say they have to closely monitor it now for a few days to see if the pressure makes a new leak D: Hoping for some more shipping notices tomorrow!
 
My phone has been "picked up" but is still sitting in Memphis. I could have driven there and picked it up and been back by now. Does that mean that some Fed Ex semi is just hanging out in the parking lot?
 
I ordered 6/28 and just got a notification!!!!


No, I didn't. But what I did do was leave my crappy samsung flip phone outside. It rained today. This is the 2nd time its been soaking wet. Now I really actually NEED my incredible.

OMG i got really excited for a few seconds cause thats when i ordered mine. Darn, i am hoping they come in next week.
