Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

It's good to see you are all still hanging in there. I read a post on this page that is true ... those with Dincs are off playing (guilty as charged lol) You will be too very soon so don't be too mad. All I can tell you is it's worth every agonizing day of the wait. It's a great phone and the longer you have it the more you appreciate it. I'm off to bed but wanted to drop in and say Hi. Good luck to those waiting. I hope it's your turn next to be elated.

New to this forum. i have been on Verizon and Phonedog.com so i thought i would come here to since i am enjoying the forum thing now. anyways here are my details:

Ordered 1 for my wife and 1 for me. We have already gotten our Zagg.com Invicible Shields, 2 cases, and 2 1750maH batteries w/chargers(already charged and ready to go)

Order Date: 6/24
Processed: 6/24
Will Ship By:7/22
Status: No notification yet/no 611 update yet and i go out of town Saturday and won't be back till Wednesday but my wife will be able to pick them up for us so i am hoping they will both be here by the time i get back.
 
Order date in store 6/21
Est Del Date TODAY 7/16 before 7pm

Need to go to sleep so I can be awake when FedEx arrives......but so tired.....so I will stay up until FedEx arrives.......but once phones gets here will be too tired to play with it......so need to go to sleep......but I may not wake up tomorrow and may not hear FedEx when they ring door bell.......AAAARRRGGG!!!.....see what you have done to me HTC, Samsung, and VzW.....Curse you all!!

hehe....just kidding.....just a quick note before i do go to bed. my pit bull Buddy will wake me up when the door bell rings, no one could sleep through him trying to rip the door down. oh to be a dog.

I thought for sure mine would be shipped out yesterday, but nope. I was hoping to get it before the weekend. It's being shipped to my work and I brought a charged battery, screen protector, and a pouch to work. :(


I hope they ship it soon. I need to order 10 more for other users.

I read on a different forum this:

Someone: "Doesn't seem as if alot of shipping

Another someone answered:
"my guess is they only ship when they have a certain number of units.

just an example: so lets say the number is 50 units before they ship. and they make 18 units a day. in 3 days they will make 54 units so they ship out 54 on day 3. just a thought i had. im fairly sure this is similar to the process they use (most cost effective to make shipments only 1-2 times a week)"



Is this true? It does seem like that is what their doing, and how is Verizon warehouse going to be with these Droid X shipping backorders as well?
 
Good Morning Everyone! Can't wait to see all those 6/23=6/26 orders get notices today :) :) :).

As far as that "won't ship until 50 are made" it makes sense, but since they're so far behind, they might not want to wait?

And LOL @ the Droid X being back-ordered hahaha it's only fair. To all the people that dissed the Inc to get that, tooo funny.

Here's some hope for any other 6/23ers-- I got my shipping notification today.

I hope to have the Incredible in my hands on Monday. :D

not much to say, there simply isn't any new info out there, so I expect everyone to get their phones within 5 days of there ship date.

Oh well, maybe something will break today, like FROYO or something to keep us going.

OooO..A weekend of torture, but it eliminates the Monday blues. Grats, btw.

By the time mine comes and is charged, I'll have to go to work. I won't be able to play with it today (Double Drat!).

No kidding! Especially since my current LG phone keeps dying on me.

The phone isn't coming from too far away, so I'm guessing it will sit in the local fedex depot over the weekend. I wonder if I can pick it up from fedex before they try to deliver it...

I feel your pain. I ordered 6/29 and I am keeping my fingers crossed that mine comes by next week too ( since everyone says they are coming 5 days early). I leave next Friday for a 10 day vacation so if it doesn't get here by then it will arrive while I am gone and I will be in agony my whole vacation knowing it arrived while I am gone.
 
My 6/23 shipped, just not very far. It was picked up yesterday and went to an origination station in Memphis. At 2 am it went to a shipping station in Memphis. As of 7:40 am it was still there. Definitely going to have to wait through the weekend which means I won't get it until after I get back from vacation on Friday.
 
I really can't believe 6/23's are going out.. It seriously feels like yesterday (really 3 weeks ago) that I ordered the phone.. Hoping to have it by 7 days
 
Oh Crap, called Verizon Business Support and I have a tracking number. Just this morning Fedex picked up the package, I am in sunny SoCal. Calling my companys Fedex Sales rep to see if they can just hold it at the facility for me....

Yes..So close..

Edit, nevermind about the fedex, lol...

Just checked tracking and its from WEST CHESTER, PA.

Great that it didn't ship from the Ontario distribution center. Oh well, at least it shippied.
