Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

Just got my shipping notice!
Ordered 5/8 in store. Won't get here til 5/25 though...and I am leaving town tomorrow until the 1st! This is killing me!

Or, depending on the fedex location, you can ask them to "hold at station for pickup". My local office stated that verizon is one of the few shipping companies that allows this.

If you are gone for a while, call fedex (with your tracking #) and see if they can hold it for a bit longer, the local station might have to call you back though!
 
Ordered mine from the online store on 5/9. Received my shipping notification today (5/21), for a Monday delivery. Shipping from Ontario, California to the high desert in SoCal. :D

Haha.. That's what I've been doing. I have a huge list of apps, started on the manual, been active in these forums.

I'll eventually get burned out either way, but it's still fun.

Well, people who ordered 5/8-5/10 range are being shipped today, so a good rough estimate would be about the same amount of time.
 
Been reading this forum for the past few days and finally got my phone, figured I'd tell my story.

Ordered the phone online on 5/14... waited... waited... waited. Finally decided that I didn't want to wait, started calling around. Called a verizon reseller in a small town about 15 minutes from me... they had 1 phone left, and they have had it all week. Stopped by the shop, did the account stuff and walked out 20 minutes later with my phone. And for all that don't have theirs yet... it's awesome.
 
I'm so glad that those who ordered 5/8-5/10 are getting their phones soon! I ordered mine on 5/13, and it's good to know that they're finally shipping phones again, because that gives me hope that I'll have mine soon. :)

No, Verizon has an agreement in place with FedEx that they won't hold packages without making at least one delivery attempt. If you call FedEx and ask they won't do it. If you get a CSR that will, it is a gross violation of policy.
 
I ordered mine in store on the 5/16 and they said i would get it by the 20th (liars!) so i called up customer service and said i'll get mine after 4th June. WTF? :(
 
Ordered 5/9 from Verizon store in North Dakota. Just received shipping notification 5 minutes ago. Should be here Monday (5/24)

Stop calling the reps and stop posting what they tell you, it's useless information.

They just give out the ship by date that was on the website when you ordered.

They don't know when it really will ship.
 
I just ordered mine early today... it should ship-out around 6/11 :(
I'm trying not think about the ship date but going from Android (Eris) back to the LG Dare is brutal.
 
I sold my Droid today and am waiting on my Incredible...

Im now using my sisters old LG Env.....

I leave town on the 28th. Hope I get the incredible asap :(

I was told that once it's been placed there's no way to stop or cancel it. She suggested that I refuse the shipment once it ships. She also said there would be no restock involved. That I'm leary of.

She also mentioned that since I have an order in the system, that when I went to BB to get the phone they would see that and not be able to give me the 2 year pricing. I would have to buy it outright and would be reimbursed the difference once the other phone was returned. I want this phone but not bad enough to jump through all these hoops.

Does any of these statements sound legit? I doubt it's impossible to cancel an order. Any thoughts?

I placed my order on 5/11, and a couple days later, I called VZW to ask them if I could make a shipping change. The rep I talked to said that since my order was placed, paid for, and all that junk, she couldn't change anything on my order.

Even if it's not legit, at least they're consistent! ;)
