Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

Just got my tracking number also. Ordered on the 13th. Shipping today and delivery by tomorrow. Glad I opted for overnight, especially since it worked out to be just before a long weekend...
 
Congrats to everyone who will be getting theirs in time for the weekend! :D

Meanwhile, although I placed my order on5/13 I keep getting different dates that they are "going by" 5/17, 5/19 and today I was told my completed order date is 5/20......WTF!!!!

I know the "ship by" dates they are giving are irrelevant but if I placed my order and gave my card info on 5/13 why the heck am I a 5/17, 5/19 or 5/20 order?

I tried to take advantage of BB's $99 Droid sale to tide me over, but I can't even do that because of this "pending" order.
 
First off I would like to thank the Acadamy, my parents and God! I could have not done this without you. The last two weeks have been very exciting and now with this I move forward. This is a great accomplishment in my life and look forward to see where the future takes me!!!!!!!!!!

I ordered mine on 5-19... I just got a phone call from Verizon telling me my order has shipped as of last night... I already got one from Best Buy, so I am refusing the package when it comes in.
Seems a little odd that mine shipped so fast. Maybe the wait is freeing up a little. Or maybe VW CSRs are just dumb because I have no tracking number.

You can call customer service: 800-922-0204
You can also use information from the receipt to try to get lucky and peg down some shipping information by tracking by reference number and using this template:
[location code]_000[order number]

And keep in mind that the 000[order number] part should be 9 digits, so use 2, 3, or 4 zeros to make it 9 digits.


Good luck! I'm in the same boat. Ordered in store on 5/14. Haven't received any shipping conf emails, customer service tells me there is no updated info on my order (hasn't shipped yet), and they can only give me the scripted "phones ordered on that date are scheduled to be shipped by blah blah blah" information... Hope you can find something different!

When I called Verizon I was told I had to call the store it was purchased at. That also could have been an misinformed CSR. Anyway, I called the store everyday asking if they had a tracking number. Once I saw that orders from the day I ordered were shipping then I used the reference formula and it worked.
 
Ordered on May 12, told it will ship on May 31. Delivered by Fedex on May 27. Activation was a trip since they seemed to have assigned the ESN to two different phone numbers but after going to the local Verizon store to get the phone activated to the right number, and then spending an hour on the phone with support this morning to get the Backup Assistant to cough up the contacts from my old phone, we seem to be good to go.

I'm jealous but congrats anyway

Wonder how yours managed to ship before mine when I order a week sooner?
 
If there is anything to understand, it's that the CSR's can't verify if you'll get it sooner than the ship date quoted... but, it appears that people do definitely get their phones sooner than later.

I was quote 6/4, when i ordered 5/15 (via CSR on the phone, website said 6/1), but at this rate, it seems I might get a shipping notice tomorrow, for 6/1 or 6/2 delivery!

Really they called you thats the first time anyone has posted that, and a 5/19 order thats way ahead of the curve, the latest orders to ship up to this point was the 15th

Did you call to try to cancel after getting it at best buy? Was wondering cause would kinda make sense that they would send it rather cancel the order and thats the reason they sent it sooner so they could say, cant cancel because its been shipped.

Could just be the CSR did not have her info correct. I asked her three times. "are you sure it is being shipped to me.. and not just processed in the warehouse?" She said, ~yes... it is showing being shipped out to you as of yesterday~

I'll let you guys/gals know when it comes in.

I did... The CSR last night said they were unsure if it shipped (9PM last night), but took my contact info and told me they would call if it had. She said they would refund my account and not charge a restocking fee so long as I refuse the package.
 
Just received my shipping notice. Shipping out of Memphis today for delivery tomorrow! Ordered 5/13 so I should have it for the weekend. Good luck to those of you still waiting. I'm in south Alabama...
 
to those that have not received the confirmation email- I would call Verizon to make sure that you are set up for Overnight Delivery- I called yesterday to make sure that it was going to be sent overnight, and today i got the email with overnight delivery.

Just a tip....
 
Just received my phone!

My dad placed the order early morning on 5/12.
We never recieved any sort of shipping notification, they just decided to suprise us! I totally don't mind. I was expecting it next week.

I couldn't be more happy!
