Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

I ordered later in the day online on the 17th, and the site had changed to the 8th.
 
I ordered on 5/15 over the phone and was told that it would ship on 6/4 for delivery on 6/8. Hoping for an email anytime, but nothing yet.

You world think they would prefer to cancel the order so that they could send it somewhere else instead of having it run all over the country for a week. You got to wonder.

Its upsetting that so many people have been waiting such a long time, and amazon and some BB stores have them before VW does. All I can say is that if you dont mind tying up 199.99 for a phone, go ahead and order it via amazon. I ordered on 5/27 and I would have gone insane waiting til 6/19. No doubt I will feel stupid if I get an email stating VW already shipped my phones out, but its good to know I can just refuse them and be reimbursed. Hang in there folks, I wish I would have gotten fed up with tmo sooner, then I might have been an early adopter and wouldnt be going thru all this.

I totally get where youre coming from. I was pissed when I saw the post about amazon having them in stock. so I checked it out and was even madder when it was 50.00 cheaper. But I totally get it and I am not saying its fair, if I were in your shoes I wouldnt have held my tongue.

But it is what it is, i now have 750.00 tied up on four phones, and looks like VW wont cancel my order before it ships, so some poor soul is gonna have to wait while my 2 devices are pointlessly making their way to me then back to VW.

I posted this a few days ago, but this is what they did for me:
I would at least call and talk to someone about compesation. After 4 different delivery dates and on EXTREMELY rude CSR, I ended up with a memory card, dual car charger and a case. Also got $100 off the price and $50 credit off my first months bill. After being with them for 10 years, I felt I deserved something for their ignorance. lol at least give it a shot and call, you never know.

So give them a call, good luck!

It was 50.00 more for me. Actually VW charged me tax and Amazon didn't so it's 39.00 more. Not too bad for shaving 10 days min off my wait.
 
How would ordering a second one work if you asked to have a number ported? Will the one Verizon ships come already activated with the ported number? I'd jump on the Amazon deal if it wasn't for this question.
 
There were a bevy of shipment notices last week. That trend seems to have slowed down to a very tiny trickle now... I'm guessing Verizon had a large shipment, and is now running out until the next one >_<

I agree. When I called to find out a tracking number for my accessories, the CSR I spoke with said that most will be arriving on time, maybe a day sooner. Then told me that mine would likely be packaged and shipped on 6/4 for arrival on 6/8, as someone else reported as well. Better on time then late I suppose.

I bought my DI via Verizon in a store for $149 w/ the $100 rebate but I'm happily on a 2 year contract. This was an early upgrade (21 months) for me as my previous 2 year contract was not up 'til August.

I ordered on May 19th. No shipping date, no email... yet.
 
I just wouldn't mind a more clearer date then these "shipped by" but that is not possible...

Its a little upsetting to see that best buys and now amazon.com have them in stock and I'm waiting for something I have already paid for.

I ordered on the 28th and luckily caught the batch that will be out by the 18th....

I'm using a ooooold samsung alias that has bad A&S keys that dont work so yeah I need that phone already.

Well, you're wife isn't the only one that's upset. Now 2 other people have to wait because there are 2 phones being tied up 'in transit ready for refusal.'

Well I'm sorry about that. I did call to cancel my order today, was told that it may or may not be cancelled. Hopefully it is. But in the mean time, its a race to see which ones get here first. Besides I paid for all 4, so its not like their en route and I havent paid for them. technically I own them all. Good luck to you and I hope you get yours soon.

Yeah, I'm not sure how the supply chain works here, but I'm guessing Amazon/BB have been waiting for a shipment just like the rest of us. A week ago people would walk into Best Buy with no Incredibles in stock so it's not like they've been getting priority either.

It's just the timing of shipments and getting lucky on when you decided you wanted to buy a phone.
 
Also, if anyone is lucky enough to catch one at BB.....I picked up an Eddie Bauer holster, vehicle charger, and a Zagg screen protect as a bundle for $40.

All companies do this. However, back orders should be filled first before they are made available to the general public. They do this with pre-orders.

Call your credit card company and have them do a charge back.
